JIHYO became famous as the leader and main vocalist of the legendary Korean Girl band #TWICE, the top-selling K-Pop Female Group in history! Praised by critics for her powerhouse vocals, impressive range and charismatic stage presence. Jihyo shines both in TWICE as a resilient leader and as a versatile solo force! As TWICE's steadfast captain, she has guided the group to groundbreaking achievements like selling out major stadiums and headlining festivals. Her 2023 solo debut with the mini-album 'Zone' marked a major milestone, selling over 500,000 copies in its first week, scoring the highest initial sales volume for an EP released by a K-pop female soloist in Circle chart history at the time and earning double platinum certification in Korea, along with nominations at major awards like MAMA for Best Female Artist! She has composed for TWICE tracks, contributed OSTs for dramas, and in 2025 achieved her first Billboard Hot 100 entry with "Takedown" from KPop Demon Hunters, peaking at No. 50, while winning awards like the Korean First Brand Award for Web Variety Female MC!

JIHYO is a hugely successful Solo Artist in her own right, and after 3 successful OST's in 2022, she released her amazing self-composed and self-written chart-topping record-breaking debut EP 'ZONE' in August 2023, powered by its smash hit single "Killin' Me Good"! 'ZONE' debuted at #1 on the Circle Album Chart with half a million copies sold in its first week, the top initial sales volume for an EP released by a K-pop female soloist in Circle chart history at the time! In the United States, the album debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 with 41,000 copies sold! JIHYO joined TWICE's NAYEON as the only K-Pop Female Soloists to chart an album on the Billboard 200 Top 20 at the time! Internationally, 'ZONE' was a Top 20 hit in Japan & Hungary, a Top 40 hit in Belgium, Croatia & Spain and a Top 50 hit in France, Germany & the UK! On August 25, JIHYO achieved her first music show win as a Soloist on KBS2's Music Bank and starred in several episodes of the variety show I Live Alone in 2023, which earned her a Rookie Award nomination at the 2023 MBC Entertainment Awards. JIHYO was also nominated for Best Dance Performance (Female Solo) and Best Female Artist at the 2023 MAMA Awards and in 2024 she won the Best Solo Award at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards!

On June 20, 2025, JIHYO, JEONGYEON and CHAEYOUNG released their smash hit "Takedown", the lead single of the Netflix animated musical fantasy film KPop Demon Hunters. JIHYO scored her first solo entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 at #86 in 2025, lifting to #50! On June 28, JIHYO released the song "New Days" for the soundtrack of the Japanese television drama adaptation of 'Marry My Husband'!

JIHYO has also won 121 prizes out of 360 nominations as a member of TWICE including 21 MAMA Awards, 12 Golden Disc Awards, 10 Soribada Best K-Music Awards, 9 Japan Gold Disc Awards, 9 Asia Artist Awards, 7 Circle Chart Music Awards, 7 Seoul Music Awards, 5 Melon Music Awards, 5 Genie Music Awards, 4 Fact Music Awards, 3 BUGS Music Awards, 2 APAN Music Awards, 2 Korea Popular Music Awards and a Hanteo Music award! TWICE has received 3 MTV Europe Music Awards nominations and two MTV Video Music Awards nominations. At the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards, the group won Best Female Group for the 4th time, breaking the record for the girl group with most wins in the category! In 2021, TWICE's 10th EP, 'Taste of Love', hit #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart, becoming the first EP by a girl group to reach this Milestone. It was also the first EP from a girl group to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200! On March 1, 2023, Twice was awarded the Breakthrough Artist at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music held in Los Angeles, marking the first time a female K-Pop group has ever won the award! JIHYO is also a Fashion Icon and Ambassador to several brands and has built an impressive portfolio of brand endorsements, transitioning from group activities to prominent solo partnerships in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle sectors. Her first solo endorsement was in 2021 for The Body Shop's Sharing Campaign. In January 2023, she was appointed the muse and model for South Korean cosmetics brand Milk Touch. JIHYO is the Main Event wherever she goes and was the absolute star of the AMI fashion shows in Paris as Ambassador to the brand, showcasing her growing presence in high fashion. In 2025, she expanded internationally as a brand ambassador for Pond's (including Pond's Philippines and Indonesia lines like UV Miracle), and this year she was announced as the new model for the Korean lingerie and underwear brand Venus, her first major foray into intimate apparel after over a decade since the brand's previous celebrity endorser. JIHYO has a generous philanthropic spirit, and has made several personal donations. In March 2025, she donated 50 million KRW ($34,000 USD) to the Community Chest of Korea to aid recovery efforts following devastating wildfires in the Yeongnam region, expressing hope that victims could quickly return to normal life. Earlier, in 2023, she participated in an ice bucket challenge and contributed 10 million KRW to support the construction of Korea's first Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS) hospital. She has also been recognized in fan-driven charity initiatives, such as becoming a "Charity Fairy" on CHOEAEDOL multiple times, leading to donations in her name to causes like disability welfare through the MIRAL Foundation. While often joining group efforts such as TWICE's collective donations for disaster relief, Jihyo's individual acts highlight her commitment to supporting disaster victims, medical causes, and vulnerable communities.

From her beginnings as an 8-year-old trainee at JYP Entertainment in 2005, enduring over a decade of rigorous preparation, near-debuts, and the survival show Sixteen, JIHYO emerged in 2015 as TWICE's steadfast leader and powerhouse main vocalist with group triumphs, global stardom, sold-out world tours and iconic status!
