Internationally, there is collective decision making. The decision rule requires consensus. All parties must contribute, no one is left out

On a national level, decisions are made by a lot of interest groups such as: politicians, civil servants, and domain experts.

In the United Kingdom, there is a monarchy. Their queen is the highest power.

In a totalitarian government, it is centralized and dictatorial except with a party to rule instead of a single ruler

Theocracy is ruled by a priest in the name of god. There is a theocracy in Afghanistan.

Supreme powers are held by the people in a republic. It is similar to the US in that there is a president and elected officials.

Dictatorships, such as those in Angola, are ran by a dictator. A ruler yields absolute authority, no freedoms.

Public policy: What the government follows to deal with a problem. Many are based on laws, many people contribute.

Alot of people contribute to poilcy making, including: Congress, the President, the Cabinet, advisers, and the federal and state courts
