#WATCH पुरी(ओडिशा): 2026 की रथ यात्रा के लिए ट्रैफ़िक व्यवस्था पर ओडिशा के परिवहन आयुक्त (IPS)अमिताभ ठाकुर ने बताया, "पुरी शहर को 4 ज़ोन और 8 सेक्टर में, और पुरी के बाहर के इलाके को 5 ज़ोन और 11 सेक्टर में बांटा गया है। सभी तरह की गाड़ियां तय पार्किंग जगहों के साथ एक खास मोबिलिटी प्लान का पालन करेंगी। वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की देखरेख में 24 घंटे चलने वाला कंट्रोल रूम पुरी शहर के अंदर और बाहर ट्रैफिक मैनेजमेंट पर नज़र रखेगा।"

#WATCH | पुरी, ओडिशा: 16 जुलाई से शुरू होने वाली जगन्नाथ रथ यात्रा 2026 की तैयारियां जोरों पर हैं।

त्योहार के दौरान, तीन देवताओं - जगन्नाथ, उनके भाई बलभद्र और बहन सुभद्रा को भक्तों द्वारा तीन विशाल लकड़ी के रथों में गुंडिचा मंदिर तक खींचा जाता है, जहां वे एक सप्ताह तक रहते हैं और फिर जगन्नाथ मंदिर लौट आते हैं।

#WATCH | भुवनेश्वर, ओडिशा | रेत कलाकार सुदर्शन पटनायक ने भगवान जगन्नाथ की पुरी रथ यात्रा पर कहा, "भगवान जगन्नाथ की रथ यात्रा देखने के लिए सारे विश्व से लोग पुरी आ रहे हैं। महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ की इस रथ यात्रा के दौरान हर वर्ग, हर समाज के लोग उनके दर्शन करते हैं क्योंकि भगवान साल में एक बार मंदिर से बाहर आते हैं... 16 तारीख को ये यात्रा शुरू होने जा रही है... प्रशासन की ओर से व्यापक आयोजन किया जा रहा है ताकि सभी श्रद्धालु एक अच्छा अनुभव लेकर जाएं..."

केन्या में इस्कॉन की ‘समय से पहले’ रथयात्रा पर उन्होंने कहा, "दुख की बात है कि पुरी में रथ यात्रा से पहले ही बहुत सारे देशों में इसका आयोजन किया जाता है। यह बहुत बड़ा आघात है, इससे हमारी धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंची है। इसलिए श्री मंदिर प्रशासन की ओर से इस्कॉन के प्रतिनिधियों को बुलाकर चर्चा की गई...सारे तथ्यों से इस्कॉन को अवगत करवाया गया लेकिन इस्कॉन की तरफ से ये संदेश आया कि इस विषय पर आगे बातचीत नहीं की जाएगी...इसे लेकर बातचीत की जानी चाहिए थी कि कैसे कोई मार्ग निकाला जाए..."

The way the Puri Temple was disturbed and the Parikrama Project was taken up, that was one reason why the blessing was withdrawn from the edifice that the BJD had come, BJD is not someone's private party, it was the aspirations and the hopes of the Odia masses that had bestowed the blessings on that system, on that party. They could have utilised it even further by being more positive towards the state. But by the way they were going ahead politically, compromising at every stage to safeguard their own interest, that backfired...The way the BJD was being manipulated, the way all political elements were driven out, the way one former civil servant thought that he could take over the party by controlling one individual, that party does not belong to an individual. It belongs to the Odia race and it will again reinvent itself...These individuals are of no consequence for the people of Odisha. They did not approve the funny type of behaviour that was shown to them. It is not money that can buy people here. It is the love and genuineness that can buy the Odia people. They rejected the way they were behaved with, They did not want to deal with that kind of a person..."

We will be conducting a mock drill here, there will be a stampede, there will be a crowd, and our role in this is to provide CPR and coordinate with the people to evacuate them. The entire Puri town has been divided into four zones and eight sectors, and outside Puri town has been divided into five zones and eleven sectors. All the vehicles, starting from heavy motor vehicles to light motor vehicles and two-wheelers, will be given a specific mobility plan, and there will be parking places for all of them. To supervise all this, we will have a 24-hour control room. The control room will be manned by senior officers who will keep supervising the entire traffic arrangement, both inside and outside Puri town. We have had discussions with the Commissionerate of Police for regulation of traffic in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. We hope with the blessings of Lord Jagannath, everything will go on smoothly."

Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi held a strategic meeting with Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla to review the progress of the Group's ongoing and proposed investments across the state. The Group proposed an additional Rs 12,000 crore investment to expand Hindalco's Kansariguda alumina refinery in Rayagada from 1 MTPA to 3 MTPA.

With the proposed expansion, the total investment in the refinery will increase to around Rs 20,000 crore. The project is expected to generate significant direct and indirect employment while creating opportunities for local enterprises, service providers and downstream industries in Odisha.

#WATCH | Odisha: Unidentified miscreants attempted to loot an india1 ATM in Turigadia Market under Khaira Police Station limits last night. They dragged the ATM for around 300 meters from the bus stand area using a Thar vehicle and dumped it on the roadside. The entire looting incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed near the ATM. Khaira police reached the spot after receiving information and have launched an investigation into the case. Forensic teams are also examining the abandoned ATM and the surrounding area for clues.

Police say that no money was dispensed from the ATM. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
