“'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” That's it. That's what you are supposed to do. God will take care of the rest and the gates of hell will not prevail.

Today, the entire world saw horrifying videos from Israel. Terrorists humiliate women and men, detain even the elderly, and show no mercy.
In the face of such a terrorist strike, everyone who values life must stand in solidarity.
We in Ukraine have a special feeling about what has happened. Thousands of rockets in the Israeli sky... People killed just on the streets... Civilian cars shot through... Detainees being humiliated…
Our position is crystal clear: anyone who causes terror and death anywhere on the planet must be held accountable.
Today’s terrorist attack on Israel was well-planned, and the entire world knows which sponsors of terrorism could have endorsed and enabled its organization.
Israel has the full right to defend itself against terror. As any other state. And it’s critical that the whole world responds to terror in a unified and principled manner.
Tim Scott is a rare bird. He's the only black Republican in the Senate. But also: while everyone else is talking about American carnage and civil war he sounds as sunny as ever.
Is his optimism merited?
Really enjoyed this convo with @SenatorTimScott

Thx to @bariweiss for having me on the @thehonestlypod. We covered my story, how I got to where I am today, and how we can beat Donald Trump and Joe Biden. https://t.co/d6G3K0SGCL
I did it. I found the single weirdest moment in the Jan. 6 committee transcripts released so far.
Between witness Samuel Armes and his lawyer Anessa Santos. https://t.co/gO0K9pdu4i
A few thoughts on Senator Sasse:
- One the one hand, sad the Senate loses an articulate leader
- On the other hand, the chance to reform higher ed and shape young minds is not less important than the Senate
- The idea of serving for a season & then leaving politics is refreshing
Kemp stood up to a president of his own party to preserve the outcome of a free and fair election.
Abrams is a serial election denier.
I care deeply about our democracy, and thus I cheered when Kemp beat his Trump-backed primary challenger, and I want to see Kemp win again.
@BenSasse is the kind of Christian man you’d want to be your neighbor, your coworker , your brother-in-law, your kid’s teacher. So it makes perfect sense he’d be ill-fitted for politics. A sad loss for our republic.
Generally speaking, fools think they are wise and 100% right--and the wise are aware of the incompleteness of their wisdom and their continued foolishness. Thus the foolish call out everyone and the wise do it sometimes but realize how different things may look in 5 yrs.
At the gym. Watching Fox News and CNN side by side. Fox is focusing on Biden’s anti-MAGA speech, calling him “divider-in-chief.” CNN is focusing on Trump’s “dangerous rhetoric” when he reacted to Biden’s speech.
I think I’ll turn to the TV screen w Food Network instead.
