Get ready for story time because this is actually comical. I’ll also be attaching all of the receipts so everyone can see what the scumbag rep at the Sarasota-Bradenton international airport @Hertz, did. Well here it goes. In February I signed an agreement for $722 for two weeks for a rental car with Hertz. I paid it then and there and the receipt is below. When we arrived at the airport in March I was waiting for our bags while my wife went to confirm the rental pick up. For reference, I’m just finding out about all of this now because my card was charged an extra $1,800. When my wife went to get the rental, the rep told her that he could actually get her a better deal and it would be $657 instead of $722 so of course she said yeah. He also asked her if she wants insurance or LDW (Loss Damage Waiver) and she said no (which I know is true because we always decline the extra insurance bullshit. He said okay and asked her to sign and insert her card without giving her any papers beforehand. She must not have realized that I already paid the $722
Part 2. The finesse- So what this guy actually did (which you’ll see on the receipts) is he created a new agreement where he added LDW insurance and then subtracted the payment that I already made ($722 and its called “voucher” on the $657 receipt) from the new agreement that he created and actually charged us an additional $657 on top of the $722 that I already paid. Thats not all folks. My wife and I then decided to extend our stay for an additional 6 days where the extra days should be charged at 35.44/day per the agreement which would’ve been an extra 212 + maybe some taxes and small extra fees. Come to find out that I get charged an additional $1,824(includes the $657) on top of the original $722. Thats because the LDW is per day so that compounded all the way to $804 and then they also tried to say my original 2 weeks was $804 and the extra days were $344.94 which it actually doesn’t say in either agreement receipt that we received so that's just straight fraudulent. When this was brought to Hertz' attention they essentially said tough shit. It is what it is, we got finessed. The only reason I’m sharing is so people know how dirty this company is. Please do me a favor and retweet and like the hell out of this so people can see how scummy this was. Receipts attached
Most of your stress and pain in trading comes from:
1. Wanting to get rich quickly with big sizes
2. Not accepting that you can and will often be wrong
3. Refusing to take small Losses
+$420 Missed the cleanest opportunities on the day on $PHUN.
$PHUN- went back and forth on the long side all day after missing the obvious trades.
$DWAC- got chopped up towards the end gave back 1k. Was expecting breakouts thinking volume was coming at the important levels. Wrong approach. Was a grinder. Need to change my outlook and expectations on these.
$LAES- Went red on this one in pre-market. Execution and trade management error on my side.
$BETS- revenge traded after going red on LAES. Need to stay centered and not spiral.
Overall trading performance has suffered a lot recenty as I'm geting back into full time trading after a long on/off break. This is what it takes. Make small adjustments every day.
Scratch day. Was able to dig out of the red on $SYT and $AUVI shorts. Got red early when I expected $AUVI to move a bit more in the pre-market. Then small paper cuts added up. I walked away once I was down 1k but came back when $SYT moved. Not sure if it was the best move.
To be honest, its not worth trading this market for my strategy. No volume no edge.
Need to make sure I don't let the red get too big. It's easy to spiral given that I'm in a drawdown.
+1.1k Took it easy today. Had no interest in trading the grinder $LAES once I reached my daily goal. $SPEC and $ROMA base hits. Couple $MLEC trades early morning.
-4.7k no excuses for overtrading. Was green 2k in premarket but gave it all back and a lot after. Just messy action and gave in to FOMO. Need to focus on the stocks I can trade with an edge. Red on the year now so need to manage risk.
$BETS really got me out of the halt. Put me red on the day.
$SANA higher float, ended up positive on the name but didn't it well.
$NEXI didn't realize it was inside day. Gave back alot trading the back side.
$LAES gave back what I made in the pre-market. Anticipated it was going to open up but didn't. Need to wait for confirmation.
$ROMA couldn't understand the action on it, should've just stayed away.
+$400. Another tough day for me. But honestly happy that I was able to close green.
$NEXI missed all the clean trades, halts and hod re-claim. Then got caught in the end of day falsy which put me red.
$SNTG traded this well in the pre-market. But once the market open, didn't expect a fade second in a row.
$ZCAR traded this wrong. Went short on the front side. Was able to recover most of that by re-shorting at the top. Traded the end of day and after hours somewhat decently. Had no confidence in the choppy action.
Need to focus on the right moves instead of getting fixated on poor quality. Back to studying and tomo is a new day.
-6.3k Days like today I need to practice patience and not touch crappy action. Big losses on $NKTX long around the close and AH. $ACON gave back all premarket gains and then some. Tightening up risk tomorrow.
+2.3k. Made most of the gains in pre-market where the conditions were somewhat clean on $AIMD $BNZI. Then made some more and gave back all gains on $BNZI. $MINM was disappointing in the afternoon but what can I expect on a friday afternoon.
First green week in a while.
@MXDayTrading Makes two of us. I'm in a drawdown twice as big as yours lol. We'll get through this! Keep studying
Made the same mistake on $OMGA, thought it was gonna blast past pre-market highs.
Today's mistake was to trade $JFBR $MOBX. $SIDU sucked as well but thankfully didn't lose money on it. $OMGA took me for a ride around $6 area. Gotta avoid lower quality plays. Not much action during market hours today so a decent day
One thing I have noticed in my trading is that I’ve gotten a lot worse at avoiding B and C setups. Reason for this is excitement when the play is happening and getting fixated on the outcome. The balance between risk and potential (of the play) is off when this happens
Closing at +$3.2k. Took alot of low volume plays which cost me $BBLG $CGA. Touched 5 and then gave back. Not the cleanest moves on $NEXI but that was the biggest winner. No low volume plays starting tomorrow.
Another update: Back to +2.2k. Not proud of my performance today. Was expecting more action today and we didn't get much. Studying nuances everyday is necessary to align expectations with the market.
