One of my favorite frameworks in evaluating and re-aligning your actions with your goals
“It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it.” - @JamesClear
Service businesses are information factories.
The accuracy, speed, and efficiency of how information gets processed will determine the success or eventual failure of the business.
Conversion rate (done profitably) is the most important metric of your ads, websites, landing pages
How many people are buying after clicking what you wanted them to click
As a non-technical (software, coding, etc) operator of a business, your job isn’t knowing every single technical detail of your operating systems, softwares, codes. You should hire and/or consult specialists for those.
You are, however, responsible for knowing how those systems behave at the level of your operations, what their capabilities are, what their limitations are and what they require (time, money, talent, switching systems) to get upgraded as you scale
I think this is influenced two main factors with a bird’s eye view:
-If it’s a commodity and you’re competing on price (and you have the lowest price for an identical product) then definitely post. If you’re not the lowest, just be very reachable and responsive and provide amazing service but probably don’t post
-If you’re priced high as a premium and possibly a service that no one else can match then it’s better to have the customer on the line where start with outlining the true value of the service (problem it solves, benefit it provides) before sharing pricing.
Reasonable customers who can afford a purchase will make their decision based on overall value and rather than price and sharing the price prematurely could affect conversion
As you know, in the business world “the exception is the norm” so of course this binary approach doesn’t apply to every business and the final decision will require more context
I hope this helps!
@JohnBrueckner 100% agreed. In addition to the benefits in automation, it will contribute to building a company wide brain/database that makes that task a part of the company’s knowledge base instead of limiting it to one person. I appreciate the reply!
Writing out every single step that’s taken in any of your business tasks and functions will contribute to your AI implementation much more than watching videos about the mechanics of building AI agents and more complex AI systems
I think you need more context to decide
-Is it a service people in your near circles use like accounting? If yes, then people you know is a great place to start. You can combine this with a good referral incentive
-Cold emails can work with a strong pitch focusing on a real pain and paired with a reasonable promise that would truly solve the problem in question
I hope these help in your next step!
Business owners and operators!
If you have a large volume of unorganized data in any part of your business…
-Customer contact information
-Leads with outdated comments
-Information scattered across multiple systems and interfaces (email, CRM, Accounting software, etc)
…dump it into AI and ask it to analyze, organize the data and provide insightful next steps for short-term and long-term planning
AI can process an unimaginable amount of data and information in a very short time!
New or Potential AI user in business?
Here are two simple things I’ve found useful in during my short 1-month journey:
1- Just start
Whether you’ve previously used AI or not, just start on Claude and start typing about a business problem or challenge you’re facing. Write as much or as little as you’d like.
2- Give it context!
More truthful and accurate contexts in the prompt will produce higher quality answers because the AI will have more data to use as it comes up with an informed recommendation for next steps and/or ask for more information when needed.
Examples of context…
Examples of context
-Industry
-Company sales/revenue (can be rough)
-Number of employees
-Profit margin
-Challenges
-Operating system(s) used
-Data to analyze
-Targets and goals
-Literally anything relevant to the business and challenge at hand
Side Note:
Prompt is a fancy word for messages you send in the AI chat, but it’s good to know it because AI will use the word prompt when referring to chats you send to it
I talked to my friend Ali Abdaal, and he explained his “Feel-Good Business” framework.
There are 3 types of businesses and you probably want the last type…

Also - if you like this video, I have great news for you.
The full podcast episode (our very FIRST) dropped today.
The current THING is not working for us. I’m tired of people making a BIG DEAL about small deals while the BIG DEALs flow past us like water.
The mainstream’s infected. The current of America is polluted.
Look at what the average person has become. Unhappy, unhealthy, unsatisfied, financially struggling…
Do you want to be average?
That’s why I’m starting this podcast, BigDeal.
It’ll take you out of “average” and talk about the real big deals.
Listen to it starting today wherever you get your podcasts.
To celebrate the launch, we’re doing a giveaway of prizes worth over $5,000.
(I wanted to do this giveaway, but my lawyer said I had to include this if I did, so…)

Thread 🧵: For decades, @presidentaz has hedged his credibility on the 'Karabakh issue'.
But while Aliyev is eager to characterize the 44-day war as a victory, in reality the outcome has left him in a very precarious position.
As Armenians, we'd do well to understand this. 1/21
