@mitsuhiko If not the implementation, I like the option. I often write CLIs that are hard to test outside of mocking (which I hate to do), as they interact with complex systems.
I'm not a fan of the aesthetics, but I've come to appreciate the bugs it has helped find during development.
Zenbleed has kept us busy this evening @cloudscale_ch. If your cloud provider runs AMD Epyc Rome, they should be patching all their hosts asap, or some of your secrets that are in-flight, are going to be available to other tenants (keys, passwords):

@TechAndMisc I always felt a bit disappointed by the requests library in this regard: Nailed the usability, but never managed to get even close to curl speeds.
@TechAndMisc I found /r/beyondthebump and noise cancelling headphones to be of some help. But ultimately you just wait for it to stop, which should be soon (tm).
@TechAndMisc In my experience: No such thing as a settled routine in the first 9-12 months or so. Every time you got it all figured out, the game changes.
This Twitter turmoil doesn’t have me consider other platforms. I think I‘ll just stop using short message social media, should things come to an end. I can always /dev/null my thoughts instead.
75$ for a developer font may sound like a lot, but I have been using Berkeley Mono by @berkeleygfx for nine months now, and I can’t imagine work without it.

The IPv4 connection on my mac stopped a few days ago, and I actually did not immediately notice it, because IPv6 was still working. I‘m quite impressed.
@mitsuhiko I was unaware of its existence until I set up my new MacBook next to the old one. I was so surprised to suddenly find my cursor on the wrong screen.
Fun fact: DNS requests over UDP are much slower with my ISP than the same requests over TCP - by a factor of 5-10.
Sadly I can’t just force TCP on all my DNS requests with macOS, unless I install a custom resolver locally.
We’re back! Join us on September 22, 2022 at the Swiss Python Summit 2022.
This is going to be the final edition. And because we've been there and done that when it comes to sponsors, pitches, and e-mail campaigns, we'll do this one without any of those.
