A case delayed over 20 times.
Over 4 years in incarceration.
Mohammed suffered with no witness in court.
Human Rights Foundation Nigeria finally got the matter struck out.
Moshood Mohammed is now discharged.
And today, He is back home with his family in Ilorin.
Justice Harrison struck out Mohammed’s case on 1st July 2026 after the prosecution failed to produce a witness and the court reviewed its record.
From the courtroom to the motor park, we stayed the course until Mohammed’s freedom became reality.
At Human Rights Foundation Nigeria, we believe every child belongs in a classroom, not on the streets, in unsafe labour, or trapped by poverty and neglect.
The time to act is now: protect every child’s right to education and bring every out-of-school child back to learning.
Education is not a privilege; it is a right.
Yet millions of children globally are still out of school, denied not just learning, but dignity, safety, opportunity, and a future.
Today we celebrate the strength, dreams, and potential of every African child.
Let us build a society where every child is protected, heard, educated, and empowered to thrive.
@hrfng remains committed to defending every child’s right to a brighter future.

Children belong in classrooms, learning and dreaming not in factories, fields, or markets breaking their backs to survive.
Let’s break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. Protecting children isn’t charity; it’s a fundamental human right.

A child’s hands are meant to hold dreams, not heavy burdens.
On this World Day Against Child Labour, Human Rights Foundation Nigeria stands firm in our mission to protect the vulnerable.
In Nigeria, life should never be cheap and justice should never be late.
Every Nigerian life matters, every wrongful death matters, and no one deserves to die unjustly.
Protect life. Demand justice. Keep humanity loud.
Happy New Month from Human Rights Foundation Nigeria.
This new month, we renew our voice for justice, dignity, equality, and the protection of every human right.
Together, let’s keep building a society where every person is seen, heard, and protected.
Children deserve books, laughter, classrooms, and dreams not fear.
This Children’s Day, we stand with every child and teacher affected by insecurity across Nigeria and renew our call for safer schools and safer communities.
Mental health is a human right.
In Nigeria, the conversation must include the reality of prison life where overcrowding, poor conditions, and prolonged detention continue to harm lives in silence.
