When Udayanidhi Stalin repeatedly attacks "sanathanam" in Tamil, why is there not more outrage among the highly religious Tamil Hindu population?
I believe it comes down to language.
In Tamil language, the word "sanathanam" (eternal in English) is not in regular use. Most Tamil people do not know this word and I did not know it myself as a child.
On the other hand the word "dharma" (spelled as "dharmam" or "dharumam") is common in Tamil and there is a district named Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. There is also the word "aram" used in Tamil with the same meaning as dharma.
Interestingly, in Hindi, the word "dharam" means "religion" in general and Hinduism is "hindu dharm" or "sanatan dharam" and Christianity is "isai dharam" in Hindi.
But in Tamil usage, the word "dharmam" would effectively mean "Hindu dharam" in Hindi.
Now if Udayanidhi had attacked "dharmam" in Tamil (which effectively means Hinduism) he would be widely criticised for proclaiming adharmam.
That is why he is picking the word "sanathanam" to attack because that word is not widely known in Tamil.
With all his "sincere" effort, he is making the word known in Tamil too and he has made the already huge anti DMK vote in Tamil Nadu even bigger. The DMK has never won a majority on its own ever, because of that huge strong anti-DMK current. They established that current with their constant attacks on Hindu deities. The AIADMK never did that and they harvested the anti-DMK current well.
Now, in spite of the TVK being the new anti-DMK party and in spite of the AIADMK splitting the anti-DMK vote (see how I worked it!) and in spite of the DMK spending extraordinary amounts of cash, in spite of the DMK having a strong alliance and the TVK having no alliance, the DMK lost the election.
Udayanidhi wants to ensure the DMK would never come back. May the eternal sanatana dharma grant his wish 🙏😉
A historic opportunity to strengthen women’s representation in India’s legislatures has been deliberately blocked by the opposition.
The opposition’s stance makes it clear that they lack the intent to support transformative reforms that strengthen Bharat’s democracy and empower women. By refusing to back the Women’s Reservation Bill, they have once again placed political calculations above national progress, delaying a long-overdue step toward inclusive governance and gender justice.
Supporting this landmark reform would have demonstrated a collective commitment to empowering women and deepening democratic values. As an NDA ally, the @JanaSenaParty firmly welcomes and appreciates the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji in bringing this significant bill before Parliament. Had it been passed, it would have marked a defining moment of pride and progress for millions of women across the country. We remain confident that, in the days ahead, women will secure their rightful and strengthened place in India’s legislative institutions.

A PRAYER FOR THE SOUL OF DIPU CHANDRA DAS
History remembers sacrifice. But today, the soil that was once liberated with Indian blood is being stained with the blood of innocent minorities.
In 1971, our Indian Armed Forces stood for the oppressed. Our brave soldiers didn’t just fight a war; they fought for the identity and dignity of millions of people of what is now called Bangladesh. Nearly 3,900 Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives and over 10,000 were injured to ensure the birth of Bangladesh. We gave our lives so that others could live in peace.
But today, “peace” is just a word; persecution is the reality. According to the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, 2,442 incidents of violence against minorities were documented between August 2024 and July 2025. Over 150 temples have been vandalized and desecrated. These are not just acts of unrest or random chaos; it is a deliberate, targeted strike at the heart of a community’s faith and its right to exist.
The pattern of targeting is clear and cruel - Last year, we saw the unjust jailing of the ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das and the brutal lynching of the Communist party leader Pradip Bhowmik. And now the horrific murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh. This young man was not just killed; he was subjected to a level of savagery that shames the 21st century. Reports confirm he was lynched in public by a frenzied mob, his body was then hanged from a tree, and he was set on fire. To witness such a demonic act in broad daylight is a sign of a complete collapse of humanity and the rule of law. My heart goes out to the soul of Dipu Das. I pray for his peace and offer my deepest condolences to his grieving family, who have had to endure a loss so gruesome it is beyond comprehension.
The demographic reality of the region is a chilling testament to this ongoing tragedy. In 1951, Hindus made up 22% of the population. Today, that number has plummeted to below 8%. This isn't just migration; it is a systematic persecution that the world chooses to ignore.
I call upon the Leadership of Bangladesh to move beyond mere words of condemnation and restore stability. You must ensure the safety of every Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian citizen. The perpetrators of the Mymensingh horror must face the ultimate justice to show that no mob is above the law. I also urge World Leaders and the international community @UNHumanRights@UN to open their eyes to the plight of minorities in Bangladesh. Selective silence is a betrayal of human rights.
The blood of our 1971 martyrs was shed for a land of peace, not a land of persecution. We cannot, and will not, remain silent.

*Threatening Judiciary in the name of Pseudo Secularism*
When a constitutional bench of the Supreme Court delivered the Sabarimala judgment overturning a centuries-old, deeply cherished custom regarding entry into one of the most sacred Hindu sites and triggering massive social unrest and protests - no judge was impeached. Their ruling, which fundamentally altered a core religious practice, was met only with legal review petitions, not political motions for removal.
Recently, when a former Chief Justice of India publicly made the scornful comment, "Go and ask the deity itself to do something now. You say you are a staunch devotee of Lord Vishnu. So go and pray now," he faced zero accountability. The former CJI was neither asked to apologize nor was he put through an impeachment motion. In fact, when an advocate dared to abuse the former CJI, all political parties rushed to condemn the act, strongly defending the sanctity of the judge.
Yet today, the political establishment has set a dramatically different standard. A sitting High Court Judge is being targeted just because he delivered a judgment upholding the right of believers to light a Deepam (lamp) and practice a long-standing ritual on property legally recognized as belonging to a religious institution. The Constitution of India is clear - a judge can only be impeached on grounds of "proven misbehaviour" or "incapacity."
Over 120 MPs from the INDIA Bloc, led by the DMK, have weaponized the Constitution to call for the impeachment of a Judge. This is not judicial accountability; this is blatant political intimidation. Why are certain political parties going to such extreme lengths to impeach a judge for a judgment that simply upholds the right to practice the Hindu faith? Is this not a cynical attempt to strong-arm and silence the broader judiciary? Is this motion not a signal to all judges that they must be "careful" when ruling in cases about Hindu traditional practices and faith?
The selective outrage and weaponization of the impeachment process in this case expose a disturbing bias. This incident only solidifies the urgent need for a unified institutional voice.
The need of the hour in Bharat is the establishment of the Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board, where devotees actively manage their temples and religious affairs without fear of political interference or judicial overreach spurred by political vendettas.
Last but not least, let me reiterate to all the so-called intellectuals, especially the pseudo seculars of the country – Practicing the Hindu faith and its rituals is also a fundamental right as per the Constitution of India to the Hindu community. Practicing Sanatana Dharma does not equate to being against any other religion or faiths. Secularism is a two-way street, and every religion has to be respected and treated equally and fairly; that includes Hindus as well.

Thirupparankundram is the First of the Six Abodes of Lord Murugan (Kartikeya). The practice of lighting lamps atop the hill during the Tamil month of Karthigai is an ancient tradition of Hindus. It is sad and ironic that today the Hindus in Bharat have to seek judicial interventions to practice their faith and perform their rituals. If, even after winning a decisive legal battle, devotees cannot perform a simple, peaceful ritual on their own property, then where, in their own country, shall they truly find constitutional justice?
In short and simple, let all the Hindus in Bharat understand this - The bitter truth is - The Chennai High Court affirmed our right to light the Deepathoon - first by a single judge, then upheld by a higher bench. Legally, the battle was won. Yet, practically, we were forced to adjust.
Ask yourself - Can any religious festival be moved a week late? Can a holy day's celebration be shifted to a different time? No. Because the sanctity of religious time and the integrity of every religious calendar is non-negotiable.
Yet, for Sanatana Dharma, the moment—the sacred Karthigai Deepam—was stolen, vanished forever. Why? Because Hindus can be taken for granted. Sometimes it's the governments, sometimes it’s the executive, sometimes it’s the NGOs, sometimes it’s a random pseudo intellectual groups – but every time, it is Hindus who accept the loss and adjust. We secured the right, but lost the ritual. This repeated, systemic denial is why a time has come to demand more than just court victories - We need the Sanatana Dharma Raksha Board where devotees actively manage their own temples and religious affairs.
Mockery of Hindu traditions and rituals has become a norm for certain groups. Do they dare to do the same for other religious events?
Does Article 25 become an optional right instead of a fundamental right to the Hindus? Can a Police Commissioner or a District Magistrate unilaterally nullify a specific High Court Directive? If the High Court confirmed the Deepam lighting was a "harmless religious act" on legally owned land, who decides that this practice constitutes a threat to "communal harmony," and by what legal mechanism? How come HR&CE Department consistently and repeatedly act against the interests of Hindu devotees and their temple's traditions, and how do these officials evade serious accountability?
Hindus should observe the collective spirit and solidarity shown by practitioners of Abrahamic religions (religions of Arabian origin) when religious issues arise. They overcome their ethnic, regional, and linguistic differences for the sake of their faith.
As long as Hindus remain divided by caste, regional, and linguistic barriers, the mockery, insults, and abuses against the Hindu religion and its practices shall continue. If Hindus in our nation don't unite under a common minimum program with the collective spirit of Hindu Dharma (or Aram in Tamil), this spirit will be lost.
I hope for a day when every Hindu from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Kamakhya to Dwarka wakes up to the humiliation Hindus face in their own land.

The Waqf Amendment Bill's passage through both Houses of Parliament reflects more than merely a parliamentary achievement. It's a historic step towards justice, transparency, and accountability. Under the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri @narendramodi Ji, the NDA administration has once again proved its commitment to resolve long-standing concerns. For years, there have been serious concerns about the operations of Waqf Boards. Lack of transparency, property mismanagement, and subsidies that do not reach their intended recipients, notably those living in poverty in the Muslim community, have all been serious problems. This amendment is a significant step towards addressing the Waqf Board's challenges, increasing transparency, ensuring that Waqf benefits reach impoverished Muslims, and providing Muslim women with representation on the board. Rather than being a unilateral decision, this bill was thoroughly debated for about 12 hours in the Lok Sabha and around 14 hours in the Rajya Sabha. Every concern raised by the opposition was addressed and every question was answered. This is how a responsible and constitutionally committed government functions. This is how democracy should work.
I wholeheartedly thank Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs & Minority Affairs Welfare, Sri @KirenRijiju Ji, Hon’ble Home Minister Sri @AmitShah Ji, and Hon’ble Leader of the NDA in Rajya Sabha Sri @JPNadda Ji, for their leadership in presenting and guiding this important bill. I would also like to thank every MP who supported this reform, as well as the Muslim community for their support.
As I have stated around 2008-2009, "Looting God's property is more than just a betrayal of the nation. It is a betrayal to the god." The new ‘UMEED’ law is more than just legislation. It's a moral stand. It is a step towards protecting sacred assets, strengthening the Waqf Board, and demonstrating the NDA Government's commitment to justice and fairness.

Eventually,Karma will catch up!

Constructive criticism is healthy for democracy but not abuses, death threats and rape threats to any individual not just political leaders.
In Democracy,we all can differ on many issues and expressing dissent should be confined to policy. Don’t target families, individuals, caste slurs, attack on ones faith, their Gods and Goddesses and people who are helpless and meek. And just you have muscle power , money power and criminal gangs; that will never intimidate an average citizen of this Bharat.
So my request to all criminal gangs and social media abusers of previous regime ‘ think 100 times before you abuse. Karma will catch up.’
This is an unwanted comment by ex- AAG in YCP Govt amidst Tirumala Laddu issue. This is how people ridicule Santana Dharma. The best part about this person is ,he is a hindu.

Congratulations to the Congress party and its advocates for securing bail for BRS MLC in the infamous liquor Scam.
Your untiring efforts finally yielded fruits.
This bail is a win for both BRS and Congress —BRS leader is out on bail & the Congress man gets to Rajya Sabha.
Remarkable political acumen by KCR in supporting the candidate, who initially argued for the bail, to be nominated to Rajya Sabha unopposed by the ruling Congress
Congratulations to the partners in crime who wine & dine
