@ECISVEEP@CEO_Maharashtra If Aadhaar has been expressly accepted, what is the legal basis for its omission from the portal?
How can the portalтАЩs operational framework be inconsistent with the ECIтАЩs own directions and the Supreme CourtтАЩs order?
ECI should clarify. #SIR#EC
The ECI portal does not appear to list Aadhaar as the 13th document available for verification, despite the Supreme CourtтАЩs directions and the ECIтАЩs own notice expressly providing for Aadhaar to be accepted as a supporting identity document. @ECISVEEP@CEO_Maharashtra
@Uni_MumbaiтАЩs first LL.M. merit list is out: only 114 seats for General Category students out of 600, a mere 19%. The 50% ceiling laid down in Indra Sawhney judgement increasingly looks like a principle meant for constitutional law books, not the real world. #MumbaiUniversity

"Anti-social and anti-national elements have entered this so-called student protests," says Bar Council of India Chairperson & BJP Rajya Sabha MP Manan Kumar Mishra.
"Anti-social and anti-national forces have hijacked their agitation," he says on #CJPMovement
He says "foreign adversaries" have misled students to destabilize India.
He says some politicians, especially one or two individuals, in "whose veins foreign blood is flowing", are provoking students. He alleges huge funds linked to George Soros are being sourced.
Mishra says "nightly gatherings of criminals" have engaged in stone pelting on police.
He appeals to everyone to "place the nation above partisan considerations".

Nobody in their right mind should ever say that the Chief Justice of India should be counselled by the Government of India regarding how the court is conducted.
In the end, though, many people will still vote for the same parties, not necessarily because they are fully satisfied, but because they don't see a credible alternative. The current opposition parties are nothing more than a joke and have made themselves politically irrelevant.
People claiming that Indian democracy died today should remember that democracy is more than just words written in the Constitution. It lies in the voice of the people, a voice that has endured and prevailed through the Emergency and many other defining moments in our history.
Accountability and transparency are the cornerstones of any democracy. Protest and dissent are not threats to democracy, they are among its strongest pillars.
