Today marks the 25th anniversary of the 2001 Parliament Attack.
It is not just a day of remembrance, but a moment to wonder about an alternative doctrine of national security to that followed by the current regime.

- December 2001: Parliament is attacked. The Vajpayee government responds with strategic clarity, enacting the POTA anti-terror law in March 2002.
- 2003-2005: The judicial process moves. The Delhi High Court (2003) and then the Supreme Court (2005) upheld the death penalty for terrorist Afzal Guru.

Then came the UPA Interregnum and the story of Afzal Guru & the Decade of state Paralysis.

- POTA is repealed.
- For nearly a decade, Guru's mercy petition has been allowed to languish, a symbol of a state unwilling to enforce its own laws against a convicted terrorist. During this time, India bleeds through a relentless series of urban terror attacks.

- 2013: After 12 years, and only after the humiliation of the Parliament attack martyrs' families boycotting official functions, the UPA government is finally shamed into carrying out the execution.

- 2016: Anti-India slogans are raised at JNU to mark Afzal Guru's death anniversary.

Rahul Gandhi appears on campus, lending his presence to "JUSTIFY" the gathering.

Which government made a mockery of our security is not a matter of opinion; it is a matter of historical record.
