@nivende2@RickBellwrites@calgaryherald Well, I also agree equalization should be fixed. However, net of government transfers, nearly half of Canadian tax filers pay no income tax at all, so I don’t know how much more room there is to “reduce tax for the poorest among us.”
@DarrenWHaynes In the mid-1980’s I worked for a major O&G company that was the name sponsor for the Cannons. It was my “job” to be at every home game, represent my company and help orchestrate the fan participation events. Most fun I’ve ever had while at work. Great memories. Very sad to see.
@RingOfFireCGY Another solid win for the Flames. I’m curious, though, where does the team’s faceoff win percentage rank? Eye test suggests they don’t win a lot of them.
@LisaSteiert Hi Lisa! Been such a long time…how are you doing? I see you have a beautiful family. I’m happy to provide a reference. Just tell me what you need. Happy to hear from you.
Some overdue *professional news*: After 5 wonderful and fulfilling years as an editor @enRoutemag, I said goodbye in February. I'm a month into my new gig as managing editor @AvenueMagazine. I'm thrilled to be part of this lovely team and to be reimmersing myself in #Calgary.
@LLSCanada I am so thankful for the amazing oncology nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary that supported me through my arduous blood cancer journey. They are superstars! 🙏🥳
@justbarryb I haven’t read The Lie. I was reacting to an article in a mainstream Canadian news site about the increasing trend of publishers to self-censor books that are pro-Israeli. Kestin is quoted in the article about S. King abandoning him because he (King) can’t risk the backlash.
