Listen to the doctors: to have healthy people and a healthy state we need to reduce, not increase, barriers to voting.
"The hurdles that Georgians historically must clear to vote are often the same ones that prevent them from coming to clinic visits."

We sent questionnaires to candidates for statewide races in GA. As an org dedicated to health equity, we crafted questions that would get to the heart of important health issues and social determinants of health. We hope this will be a useful resource as you cast your ballots!
We are excited to announce the publication of our nonpartisan 2022 Health Students Taking Action Together (H-STAT) Georgia Voter Guide: https://t.co/kOZso5CL20
Yesterday, Georgia doctors, nurses & medical students demanded that Gov. Brian Kemp expand Medicaid.
Kemp refuses to expand Medicaid as hospitals close, 70% of Georgians struggle to afford care & Georgia is #3 in uninsured residents.
Listen to what these experts had to say.⬇️
We interviewed Dr. Fakorede earlier this year. Check out our conversation with him about the Black American amputation epidemic: https://t.co/68fGlnmtsi

Dr. Foluso Fakorede talks about these maps to anybody who will listen. https://t.co/ItTFV4I66Y

No community in Georgia relied on early/mail voting more than AAPI voters. >85% of AAPI votes cast in the November election were cast before Election Day. Dismantling vote by mail & early voting is a direct attempt to silence AAPI voices.
This month, Georgia lawmakers voted on bills to curb absentee voting & limit weekend voting.
This is blatant voter suppression. It’s not restoring voter integrity—it's an attempt to cherry pick the electorate. The Senate must act now & pass the For the People Act.

No-excuse absentee ballots are a critical option for busy Georgia voters who are essential workers. Georgia's voting bills would eliminate this option. #NoNotesforVotes#Protectthevotega
A pandemic rages. Georgia is 50th of 50 states in getting vaccines to people. 1/5 of GA adults lack health insurance. 55% of GA childcare centers have closed.
But making it harder for you to vote is the Georgia Legislature's focus today #gapol
#SB241 would end no-excuse absentee ballots, with exceptions for voters with disabilities and elderly voters.
#HB531 would only allow voters to request absentee ballots in the days leading up to an election with proof of hospitalization.

TODAY: The GA Senate is voting on #SB241, which would end no-excuse absentee voting. This bill disproportionately targets those who are vulnerable to health disparities. #gapol#NoNotesForVotes
Meanwhile, just outside protestors continue to gather to voice their opposition to SB 241 and other legislation that would suppress voting rights in our state. - Team Au
