Vice President JD Vance on Monday defended President Trump’s decision to ban CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, arguing the move does not violate the outlets’ free speech rights.
“They can still report on the Trump White House,” Vance said, arguing the administration should not have to provide “special access” to outlets he accused of engaging in “far-left propaganda.”
The three news organizations announced Monday they are suing the Trump administration to restore their access, arguing the ban violates the First Amendment.
CNN, MS NOW and Politico sued President Donald Trump’s administration after they were barred from covering the White House, saying the selective ban was “a blatant violation” of the First Amendment.
