Happy marathon weekend!! (my favorite weekend of the year)
Had the opportunity to go live from the finish line this morning for BUTV’s Good Morning BU.
With the commitment of Alessandro Di Iorio, BU is tied with Michigan State for the most players/recruits selected in the 2026 Draft by an NCAA program.
It will be interesting to see how these picks develop given BU's past season.

Hearing from multiple sources that the Boston Fleet will be switching primary venues next season, leaving Lowell’s Tsongas Center for Boston University’s Agganis Arena.
The Fleet have played six games at Agganis over the past two seasons, selling out 4 of the 6.
Luke Schairer has been selected by the St. Louis Blues with the 75th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
The 6-foot-3 defenseman recorded 22 points (one goal, 21 assists) for the USNTDP's Under-18 team this past season.
Niklas Aaram-Olson has been selected by the Vancouver Canucks with the 41st overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
During the 2025–26 season, Aaram‑Olsen recorded 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists) for Örebro HK in the Swedish U‑20 league.
Xavier Villeneuve has been selected by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NHL Draft.
Villeneuve's skill set is often compared to that of Lane Hutson, and he averaged a point per game while playing two seasons with the Armada.
Curious to see where Xavier Villeneuve gets picked tomorrow.
Still two Terriers going in the first round (Malhotra and Lawrence) was huge. Last time that happened was 2018 —not counting 2024’s Boisvert/Eiserman, since Boisvert was committed to North Dakota then
Instant reaction to incoming Boston University freshman Center Caleb Malhotra being drafted 3rd overall to the Vancouver Canucks.

Tynan Lawrence has been selected by the St. Louis Blues with the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
Lawrence, the 2025 Clark Cup MVP, joined BU midway through the 2025–26 season and recorded seven points. His versatility at center injected some needed spark into BU’s offense, even if the production didn’t fully show up on the scoresheet.
Caleb Malhotra has been selected by the Vancouver Canucks with the 3rd overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
Malhotra tallied 84 points (25 goals, 59 assists) during the regular season with the Brantford Bulldogs.
Malhotra has the opportunity to play for his father, Manny Malhotra, newly appointed head coach of the Canucks.
The NHL Draft starts on Friday, and BU men's hockey has nine prospects that are projected to be picked.

@antgasow@CMtalkssports Very similar to this past season. I’d predict the biggest challenge to be the “trap game” at Maine — specifically because of the travel aspect.
Surprised not to see the Welcke twins selected in the PWHL Draft — especially given their international experience. Though, it's difficult to imagine them playing on different teams.
Maeve Kelly has been selected in the 6th round, 70th overall, in the PWHL Draft by the Boston Fleet.
Kelly ended the year with nine points and 29 blocked shots.
Sydney Healey has been selected in the 6th round, 65th overall, in the PWHL Draft by PWHL Las Vegas.
Healey led BU in points during her junior and senior seasons.
Andrea Brändli has been selected in the second round, 15th overall, in the PWHL by the PWHL Detroit.
Brändli posted a .928 save percentage during the 2022-23 season.
She is the first ever draft pick selected by PWHL Detroit.
