@Headteacherchat Recently retired -very small school (36 at the time) I was able to defer 2x with no problem. This was pre Ruth Perry. Again no parity and subjective to the lead inspectors discretion. All my Ofsteds went well but its not worth my wellbeing anymore.

@MrsHeadteacher I love 50..(51)...wildly loving the freedom to explore and enjoy the things JUST FOR ME now that kids are gone- I've replaced them with dogs. I hope you embrace the beauty of "self" in middle age and enjoy every second of it. Breathe and appreciate this life. 🙂

Am definitely going to be contacting Ofsted tomorrow to let them know about my daughters' schools. They need to be aware of how hard every single member of staff is working, in almost impossible conditions.

Gav really does hate everyone in schools doesn’t he. He shows utter contempt for schools and teachers.

Given the utter shambles he’s presided over I have to say the feel exactly the same about him.

@HeadSurrey Thankfully we kept our inset day for Monday so will start on Tuesday. This is all such a mess. I do think that by end of next week more schools will be in same position. Infection rates are only going to go up especially with xmas effect just coming in to play.

@hertscc Please say you are stepping up as a council to fight for the saftey and lives of education staff and children in Hertfordshire schools? Infection rates are rising higher than areas in London that are closing with U-turn. SECTION 44 and SAGE advice for closure.

Teaching unions need to remember that they work for the teacher's, start doing your job and call for mass strike action; teacher's need to remember that if the unions aren't working for you, ditch them! Stand up for yourselves #RefuseToWork #CloseTheSchools
