@dylan_sotelo17@Etinatem@HimejoshiLover You're switching your argument from the length of the war not making sense (it does) to the troop numbers not making sense (which I agree with)
@Olzhas_Pepper@Etinatem@HimejoshiLover Actually moving around equipment/troops is infinitely easier in SW compared to real life because you can travel through hyperspace without risk of harm. Compare that to how long it took to do literally anything in WWI
@Olzhas_Pepper@Etinatem@HimejoshiLover The clone army numbers, fine, and even then you can change the interpretation of "unit" to make it make more sense
It does make sense because tech in SW is vastly superior so again, their equivalent of a continent-wide (world) war is a galaxy-wide one
@Etinatem@HimejoshiLover As someone else said, WWI defined modern history and it lasted four. And "but WWI didn't span a galaxy" isn't a valid argument because a continent-wide war is (was) our equivalent of a galaxy-wide war. It makes perfect sense
@evil_meowie@HimejoshiLover Anakin isn't a rational person and I don't understand why some of you insist on portraying him as such. Obi Wan even points this out to him in the movies. That's literally a huge reason for his fall
@portesdi@Tanjint Seems to be that he's asking for Luke to do more than be a deadbeat that abandons his friends and family and doesn't even get to rebuild the Jedi but hey this is Twitter so of course you're gonna be obtuse on purpose
@portesdi@Tanjint And do you see people say the Jedi are lame in those movies? No right? Actually Anakin manages to be pretty cool while getting his ass handed to him for most of the prequels
So, again, who was asking for Luke power fantasies?
