I always thought the role of media was to hold the powerful accountable and to unapologetically seek the truth.
Apparently, the CBC views it as trying to deceive and trick individual citizens (and opposition Members of Parliament) into bizarre and intentional “traps”.
It’s something you would expect from a university fraternity, not a taxpayer-funded broadcaster.
I want answers. Why is the taxpayer-funded broadcaster contacting Canadians and a Member of Parliament in disguise and trying to trick us into participating in a twisted social experiment, in partnership with American leftists like Igor Vamos?
Will taxpayers also need to cover the legal bills for CBC in the inevitable lawsuits they are about to face?
I interviewed more than 300 Canadians for my documentaries (and didn't receive any taxpayer money).
Not once did I engage in garbage like this.
@PeterRowe184@rationalaussie After +40 years in the trade there is no doubt Rowie is correct. I've seen some of these "brilliant" apprentices that never put together more than Ikea furniture. Very few actually willing to do the work.
A large swathe of Canadians are under a spell and that spell is a reality-bending filter woven for them by the establishment media.
Every good Canadian imagines they are forming independent, well-informed opinions about politics and the world, but in truth their conclusions are all based on a fictional version of Canada crafted by the media, downstream from Liberal government directives.
Once in a while, this spell gets shattered (think Katie Telford admitting she could line up op-eds to justify political interference during SNC-Lavalin). But most of the time, it persists and it is utterly destructive.
The result is a population reacting to a Canada that simply doesn’t exist, at least in any real sense.
The reality filter the CBC and the media monopoloy have sold them is not merely incomplete it's actively at war with observable reality.
Like living inside a continent-sized Potemkin Village, Canadians see themselves confronting threats that are largely fabricated.
Outside observers, other countries, do not share this imaginary Canada. In fact, nobody other than Canadians themselves views Canada in such a preposterous and utterly fabricated way.
This mismatch between the model of Canada and reality warps everything they do. That is to say, the Canadian mental model, big picture, common narrative, worldview, mythos, whatever you want to call it, is so far detached from reality that it causes them to consistently err and make poor choices, even choices that harm them.
An Iranian man is casually smoking a hookah while standing on his rooftop watching the United States and Israel destroy IRGC facilities in the city of Karaj.
This is peak Iranian. All he's missing are the sunflower seeds.
@AntonioTweets2 Well Marc we are parsing out the fact that you wish to be unaccountable, to be in effect the "Kings" at your discretion nobody wants. Artic Mexico indeed.
"Grass-fed beef requires more land!"
Correct. It requires land. Actual ecosystems.
Your monoculture crops require converting ecosystems into biological deserts.
Plough permanent grassland. Kill the microbes. Kill the fungi. Kill the worms. Kill the arthropods.
Then spray what survived the ploughing.
British grassland supports 250+ bird species, 1,500+ invertebrates, small mammals, amphibians.
Your quinoa field supports quinoa.
But somehow beef is the environmental villain.
🚨MONSANTO LIED. PEOPLE DIED. NOW THEY WANT IMMUNITY.
The Supreme Court will decide FRIDAY whether to hear Bayer/Monsanto’s Roundup cancer case.
THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER! SHARE THIS NOW!
If they take it — and Bayer wins — pesticide manufacturers could get permanent immunity, even when their products cause cancer and their approvals were based on fraud.
Here’s the play:
- Bayer says the EPA didn’t require a cancer warning
- So they shouldn’t be liable for not including one
- Even though Roundup’s EPA approval was based on a ghostwritten, retracted study
- Even though Roundup causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- And even though thousands were never warned
This case isn’t just about Roundup.
If SCOTUS grants review and rules in Bayer’s favor, it could set a precedent shielding over 57,000 pesticide products—and every future pesticide—from liability.
That means:
→ As long as a company “follows the label,” they’re immune.
→ Even if the label was based on fraud, manipulation, or ghostwritten junk science.
57,000+ pesticides. Zero accountability.
This isn’t just regulatory capture.
It’s a blueprint for legal immunity built on deception.
📣 SCOTUS must DENY REVIEW.
📢 We’ve got 48 hours to flood the zone.
Tag everyone. Share the retracted study.
Let DC know:
NO IMMUNITY FOR POISON.
NO JUSTICE FOR FRAUD.
