$0 made. $1K+ spent on ads & AI tools.
Skill issue, but I’m not quitting 😂
Chasing $10K/mo through paid ads + organic 🚀

Day 2 running Meta ads for my Android app:

The free trials keep coming, and acquisition has been WAY cheaper than my previous iOS campaigns.

After struggling with ads before, these notifications feel good 😂

Now I’m hoping those trials turn into paying subscribers 🤞 Too early to celebrate, but I’m finally feeling hopeful.

Anyone else getting better results on Android?

Day 1 running Meta ads for my Android app:

$47 spent so far.
14 free trials.
Around $3.37 per trial.

What the hell 😂 I’m already seeing more volume than I did with my iOS campaigns.

Very low CPCs, no Apple ATT prompts to deal with, and everything feels easier to manage.

After struggling with ads before, seeing those trial notifications feels GOOD.

Now hoping they turn into paying subscribers 🤞 Still early, but finally something encouraging.

Anyone else seeing better results advertising their Android app than iOS?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

let’s go meta

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

Meta paid ads does work❤️

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

@0xgolam it's been 9 days, still waiting ! :(

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

My app got approved on Google Play after 4 days 🎉

Meanwhile, Apple still says “In Review.” Requested an expedited review, but no response yet 🥲

Half celebrating, half refreshing App Store Connect.

How long did your latest iOS review take?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

6 months. 3 apps.
$8.72 revenue in the last 28 days. 🥲
Tried paid ads and organic. Building apps has been easier than finding paying users.

Next up: a bigger Meta ads push for SkinStride. Still showing up.

What got your app its first consistent paying users?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

No, around 3–4 people tried to check out, and one other person only viewed the paywall. I tried targeting Brazil with search ads. Hmm, I’ll either keep running them or wait for my third app to be approved and focus my marketing efforts on that. It feels like my current app might not be solving a strong enough problem in its niche.

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

Spent $78 promoting my app.

8 installs.
0 trials.
I thought getting through app review was the hard part. Then I tried getting users 😭

Still testing, still building.

What made the biggest difference in getting your first paying users?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

My third app has been in review for 8 days now 😭

I was ready to fix bugs, handle feedback, and work on marketing. Wasn’t ready for the waiting game 😂

Anyone else stuck in review lately? What’s the longest you’ve waited for approval?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

Uploading my 3rd app to Google Play Console 🚀

The iOS version is still in review, so now I get to refresh TWO dashboards 😂

Hoping for a quick approval here. Excited to finally get this into people’s hands.

Devs, who usually approves your apps faster: Apple or Google?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

The hardest part of a disappointing app launch is opening the code editor again.

Meta ads didn’t bring the traction I wanted. I’m exploring what to try next, even though my confidence took a hit.

If you’ve had a win after a rough launch, I’d love to hear it.

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

@iamtrebuh One campaign, one ad set, and three creatives: silent 15-second UGC videos made with Higgsfield. Optimize for installs in the US and subscriptions in Brazil.

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

Really wanted Meta ads to work for my app.

They didn’t go how I hoped. Now I’m exploring other ways to find users instead of increasing the budget and hoping 😂

Still building. Still figuring it out.

What worked for you when paid ads didn’t?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

@andrhlt ohh nice! what's your cpi on this? how do you determine when to stop and continue the ad spend of your creatives?

[Huang So @HuangSozx]

@guillemcraft is it meta ads ?
