@RandomPerson242@reddit_lies Reddit is an example of why pure democracy doesn’t work over the long term. It is tyranny of the majority. I do miss the format so much though.
@quan13@Hotshot_Movie It shouldn’t take owning a Tesla to realize this. It’s as obvious as the sun setting makes the world dark. The only reason that 25% of the population still believes the media is because they want to.
@ThrillaRilla369@ClownWorld Homes today are still engineered better than the average home in the past. We understand much more about the strength of wood than we did 110 years ago plus they are 3x as large and have far more features. Most homes in 1910 were even insulated.
@sudoraohacker@zslayback It won’t implode. It wouldn’t pass a challenge in court. I’m actually rooting for California to pass it as we can put this to the courts and destroy it for the next 75 years.
Where is your data from? Because regular income is taxed at the maximum rate and capital gains at slightly lower. California treats capital gains as regular income. To get to a 24% rate you need to have special circumstances that you should be targeting instead. But wait, those have utility too to incentivize small business investment. It’s almost as if there’s a purpose to the tax system 🤷♂️. Most of the studies I have found purposely confuse net worth with income and if you fall for that then I’m talking to the wrong type of person.
They let their product strategy be dictated by politicians and bureaucrats. There is no quicker way to failure. I find it hilarious that they went all in together on the Elon Musk strategy only to loathe him a few years after they made those plans. Perhaps a little bit of their fury is jealousy from being unable to execute his strategy.
@BigTechnoFuture@sigmahamster2 Bernie is the equivalent of a food reviewer who doesn’t know how to cook. He’s really good at nitpicking other people’s work but doesn’t have the skills to do it himself.
Greenhouse's piece reads like wishful thinking dressed up as analysis. She was certain the Court would police procedure and rein in the administration. Instead, six justices said Congress had already decided these TPS calls are largely the executive's to make, with limited judicial oversight. Linda Greenhouse got almost nothing of substance correct on the legal merits or likely outcome
It’s pretty interesting to read her comments and learn just how stupid someone has to be to think you can abolish police and not end up with civil chaos. Even Chaz ended up discovering police from first principles. Even if she has backed away from these statements the fact that she was this stupid as an adult says everything.
@mattvanswol What’s more scary is that they used their powerful propaganda arm in the media and social networks to convince their useful idiots to commit crimes and to go to jail in order to protect their fraud. It’s far, far scarier than direct action by the fraudsters themselves.
@reddit_lies Why doesn’t the most successful country in the history of the world try socialism because it left part time dog walkers behind? The world will never know.
@haboussef@DefiDan164@brian_armstrong AI has all the knowledge in the world but it is not wise. If you think AI is gonna make these decisions for you you’re gonna have a bad time.
