Yesterday, I had the opportunity to be part of the “Reimagining Success in the Creative Economy through AI” session at the Global AI Summit on Africa, where I shared my truth with fellow creative leaders.

I can’t emphasize enough that we must stop viewing AI as a threat but rather as a tool to enhance our art and creativity, but only if we take the lead.

It's about time that we, African creatives, learn the tools, master them, and make AI work for us. For then, and only then, will we stop being underpaid, overlooked, and undervalued.

And for us Africans, let's stop playing catch up with the rest of the world and start training AI to work for us in a programmatic way.
