the show has so many beautiful, small moments, but this one struck me particularly: the adult lestat gently correcting his younger child self, a nod to his memory of the monastery from the books, showing him kindness & understanding & grace, the sort he never received himself
magnus cutting his throat to give life and voice to lestat, akasha feeding from his throat to give herself voice, louis cutting lestat's throat to quieten him...
it’s a testament to the gothic romance at the heart of this story that lestat seems more hurt by louis’ distorted portrayal of him than by being killed: one a declaration of love, a bond that needs severing, the other a sign that being misunderstood is the antithesis of romance.
AITA? I (516M) was publicly humiliated by my ex (265?) in front of my son (71M) who we share custody of with with our mutual other ex (146M). As a result, I made a coworker (30sM) of the first ex walk in front of a train and forever changed the course of several witnesses’ lives.
Levan posting storyboards for ep5, incl Akasha drinking from Lestat.
Reference was Edward Munch painting LOVE AND PAIN (sometimes referred to as VAMPIRE)
I can’t believe we got Jennifer Ehle tits basically out covered in the blood of a man she just killed but I care so much for Lestat as a character that I can’t even lez out over it
