Today a letter was sent to all community clubs from the RFL addressing concerns around the growing levels of abuse towards match officials. With games being called off every weekend, or some officials doing 4+ games a day, we simply can't sustain the loss of officials anymore.
We're so short of referees that games get called off every week, yet theres grown men making a teenage girl cry after doubling up to make sure a game goes ahead. How are we supposed to develop the next Super League officials if they get abused to the point they quit. #NoRefNoGame

To show he can do social media, here are our Professional game appointments for tomorrow in the championship and league 1 🏉
Huge congratulations to "TV Tony" Tony Martin on being awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours list for services to rugby league. A fine servant of our great game and the perfect recognition for his distinguished career as a match official.
5 years on and we couldn't be prouder to see Aaryn will make his Championship refereeing debut in Toulouse this weekend after years of hard work and determination. Such a fantastic role model for our young society to see what they could achieve. Go well! #TeamRef
What a week our juniors are having! Our very own @AarynBelafonte has his first u16s scholarship game this week and Matty is his very reliable TJ! That's 2/3 pre season goals we set ticked off and we're not even halfway through the season yet. Good luck from all of us!

Big weekend for the society. Our very own Bethanie Neilson makes history officiating the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final. Good luck to all out this weekend. Go smash it. 👏🏻
Huge congratulations to our own @Bethanie06 who makes history this weekend on the Women's CC Final. Beth is an incredible role model for our society and female officials across the game, and we couldn't be prouder of her and everything she's done over the last 19 years. #TeamRef

Our thoughts are with Rob's family and friends this evening. A true hero of the game, and the epitome of bravery and determination in the face of adversity. The way Rob not only raised awareness for this cruel disease but the way he fought it was simply awe inspiring.
Congratulations to three of our society members, Rebecca, Jake, and Karli who form part of the officiating team for the Wheelchair @TheChallengeCup final this afternoon in Sheffield.
Tune into the BBC red button from 1.30pm to watch along live!
