@RaviBhalla@Tiffanie_Fisher@mike_defusco when can we expect guidelines on heat lamps and any updates to restrictions to come out? Nights are quickly getting colder and we are still waiting to hear how the city plans on helping small businesses
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla It’s also ok to say our volunteers are being slammed by calls and they are doing their best rather than saying they’ve stepped up. 4-6 calls going to voicemail which voicemail was just set up last week is not meeting the demands needs.
Hi @RaviBhalla we have been calling non stop as a precaution to get our employees who worked kids camps tested for COVID. None of them have been scheduled and it’s been a week now. The hotline requires 4-6 phone calls to get through to daily with a 4 hour window of being open.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla I could have gotten my employees who all generally have insurance tested other ways by now but relied on the system that has been promoted as being great. I would have happily gone other routes had this delay due to high call volumes been clear from the start, that’s all.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla I’m not discounting the fact that this is better than other places. I fortunately am in an area where testing is possible and facilitated by my city. It’s ok to accept that the system is not doing great when the demand increases. Look on Facebook, lots of others are complaining.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla Just be up front about the system being flawed but hopefully getting better rather than pretending it’s as simple as calling in and scheduling an appointment
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla The volunteer I spoke with stated the person calling won’t leave a voicemail and that we need to call you guys back when we see a missed call when it may be Riverside so you can make a note. None of my 7 employees have received any calls or voicemails until today.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla I think Hoboken is doing a great job relative to everyone else but it shouldn’t be touted as some amazing system. When a business owner is being extra careful and being told the city will facilitate testing it should be simpler
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla To expect people to never miss a call and stay by their phones for 24-48 hours with no idea what number to look for is ridiculous.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla Before this, I called and every time was informed to call back the next day if I didn’t get an appointment scheduled. Each of those calls came with 5-8 calls that went to voicemail.
@JackSilbert@RaviBhalla This is after these tweets I felt desperate to send because there seemed to be no hope of getting my employees tested. Only then was I contacted directly by you and the Mayor which is great now.
