"I realized then that God was not telling me that everything was going to be fine, humanly speaking,... But He was giving me one unmistakable promise: I will be with you. For I am the Lord your God. He is the one who loved me and gave Himself for me." ~Elisabeth Elliot
The crisis of truth in public discourse is a crisis of trustworthiness of public figures. Disregard for truth—claiming as truth whatever will secure dominance—draws lack of trust as a consequence. For trustworthiness to thrive, truth must matter to us more than our own advantage.
Let us Pray: Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.
To students starting school today,
Please be nice to your teachers. My dad is 53 years old, and not a whiz w technology. He’s called me EVERY day, attempting to practice because he’s so nervous and wants what’s best for his students.
Please be patient with them. They’re trying.
