@hankgreen When I was 10 I developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in my right leg. When I had to go to the hospital for 2 weeks my teachers sent me a stuffed animal & card letting me know they were thinking of me (I still have it), they were also very helpful and caring when I returned.
