New coal mine; Rosebank; 100 new oil & gas licences; shit in the rivers; neonicotinoid derogations; delays to electric cars & environmental building rules & ELMs; more shit in the rivers; etc. etc.. Could our government care any less for our planet?
@Independent cartoon
Please screen-grab this tweet and keep it handy when food prices soar , water-wars break out , your house burns down , your business is washed away , polar bears are extinct or in a few years time when a desperate and angry young person asks you who was responsible for killing their world . . .
Only government can be surprised - when farmers used less chemical fertiliser, crop yields rose! Nitrate fertiliser is a pollutant. First made in bomb factories, the US unleashed it to disrupt sustainable farming everywhere. Is 'green revolution' the greatest scam of all time?
Those radical hippy, lentil-weaving, eco-commies at the *checks notes* Office for Budgetary Responsibility have concluded it'll cost a lot more to remain reliant on fossil fuels than it'll cost to decarbonise. https://t.co/DI2CYN2oZm
"Dear friends, scientifically, this is not a #ClimateCrisis. We are now facing something deeper. Mass extinction. Air pollution. Undermining ecosystem functions. Really putting humanity’s future at risk. This is a #PlanetaryCrisis."

Yeah , let’s shit in the rivers and piss all over the land , cut it down and trash nature and the environment at the expense of our children’s future to build , build , build in the wrong places . . .rules on pollution blocking housebuilding, says minister https://t.co/b6Ok2kuPHE
I’ve been illustrating the insects I spot in our tiny city garden. I’m astonished by the species diversity in such a small space (this is just a selection). We avoid mowing & digging, encourage ground cover, nurture weeds, created a small pond and log pile.
There is no justification for expanding fossil fuel production
Net zero emission means NO new production NOW, halving production in next 10 years & reducing it as close to zero as possible by 2050
Using @IPCC_CH as an excuse for 🛢️expansion is dishonest

This is the Japanese Puffer Fish - one of #nature's greatest artists. To grab a female’s attention he creates something that defies belief.
Nature is more amazing than we will ever know. Protect it in all its forms.
