Une étape est franchie pour protéger les peuples du monde contre les atrocités de masse : génocides, crimes contre l'humanité, et crimes de guerre les plus graves.

Aujourd'hui, lors du sommet Africa Forward au Kenya, onze nouveaux pays africains rejoignent l'initiative portée par la France et le Mexique pour encadrer le droit de veto au Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies, portant le nombre total de soutiens à 118 pays.

Nous ne pouvons plus attendre pour rendre à l'ONU son efficacité, qui ne doit plus être entravée par l'usage abusif du droit de veto. J'invite tous les pays qui ne l'ont pas encore fait à nous rejoindre !
