It’s important to be accurate. I can’t stand it when people alter facts that don’t even need twisting. 25% is roughly the same rate at which women get abortions, but when women abort, no one continues to suffer. In fact, abortion undoubtedly prevents a significant amount of child abuse and even more neglect. There is even a school of thought that suggests Roe is tied to the drop in violent crime in the 90s.

Some women shouldn’t have kids. Some lives are worse than no life at all. A lot of people don’t like the fact that these things are true.

For years, I’ve been warning that the Temporary Foreign Worker program is being abused in the trucking industry.

Now a Globe and Mail investigation has found that trucking companies with serious safety violations, labour violations, and regulatory failures were still approved to hire temporary foreign workers.

This program has become a tool to suppress wages, exploit vulnerable workers, and allow bad employers to keep operating.

It should be scrapped.

British Columbians deserve a trucking industry built on safety, fair wages, and accountability, not one that rewards companies that break the rules.
