Big thanks to everyone who came out beachcleaning today on this chilly Jan day ππ»ποΈπ
Here's the haul from Fraisthorpe which weighed ~120kg! A reminder that even though the beach looks clean- as soon as you look closer there will be things to find!

During winter, as dusk arrives, starlings set off for their roosts in one of the most staggering natural spectacles. Flocks arrive from all directions and take on incredible shapes, contracting & expanding in the sky π

Hi Beachcombers and Happy New Year!!
There are lots of beach cleans happening on the Yorkshire Coast this month!
Winter means big swells and strong winds bringing litter ashore- so why not wrap up warm and spend a wintery weekend day with family doing your bit for our planet???
Help us solve a mystery - where are all these biofilters/biomedia coming from? They've been washing up for months in Cornwall but in recent days we've found 100s and 100s. They're thought to be used in waste water treatment plants and aquaculture. #oceanplastic
BEACH CLEAN THIS WEEKEND
Another #WavesOfWaste@YWTLivingSeas organised event!
Probably plenty of litter to pick up following all of this stormy weather!
