5/8 weeks of my mental health placement completed ✅. This week I have been able to carry out initial assessments, complete a home visit and successfully build up therapeutic relationships with the service users.

4/8 weeks of my mental health placement completed ✅. During this week I have been able to engage in activities for OT week, perform a MOCA assessment, sensory assessment, kitchen assessment and build up therapeutic relationships with the service users. @BDCFT @RCOTStudents

I am at the end of week 2 at Lynfield Mount Hospital. I had some great opportunities so far, learning about the model of human occupation, building therapeutic relationship with staffs and patients and pushing myself to take on appropriate tasks. 2/8 ✅

I have really enjoyed my first week! I have such a friendly and welcoming team!
Can’t wait for the upcoming weeks to expand my knowledge in this setting and to learn how to undertake the different types of assessments.
