HRCSL has presented the Drafting Instructions for Revised Human Rights Commission Act to the Attorney General for the repeal & replacement of the HRCSL Act, 2004. The new law will expand the Commission’s mandate to protect & promote human rights in the country. @UNDPSierraLeone

HRCSL with support from #GlobalFund held an engagement with Lawmakers And Enforcement Officials on the Sierra Leone HIV/AIDS and Human Rights Strengthening Strategy. The goal is to protect people living with HIV/AIDS & other related diseases from stigma & discrimination.
#HRCSL with support from the #GlobalFund hosted Human Rights Coordination Meetings with key stakeholders in the regions. It’s geared towards scaling programme that removes human rights barriers to accessing HIV, TB, and Malaria services in Sierra Leone.
#HRCSL held an engagement with some school pupils on relevant laws, Policies and Issues bothering on Children’s Rights. It included the Child Rights Act 2007, #ACRWC and the #UNCRC. Life Skills, Understanding Harmful Traditional Practices etc. was also discussed.
