Most populations are fragmented by agriculture or other development. The Small White Lady's-slipper was listed as endangered in Canada under the SRA in 2003 because of its disjunct and limited distribution, its low genetic diversity, and habitat loss.

Did you know that horses have been domesticated for over 5000 years. They are herbivores. Also, they have bigger eyes than any other mammal that lives on land. Because horse's eyes are on the side of their head they are capable of seeing nearly 360 degrees at one time.

Did you know that a pig's squeal can be as loud as 115 decibels – that’s 3 decibels higher than the sound of a supersonic airliner.

They may be indiscriminate eaters, but pigs are also highly intelligent and incredibly social animals.

Chickens!
Did you know that today’s modern chickens were domesticated around 8000 years ago? They evolved from the red jungle fowl, who lived in the jungle. Another fun fact about chicken ancestry is that chickens are living descendants of the dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rex!

Did you know that this species is critically endangered on the IUCN Red List?
Overhunting and habitat loss have been the main reasons for the species decline and have left the species presumed extinct. Habitat degradation, extinction of important prey species

Did you know that they are a euryhaline species of oceanic dolphin, meaning they transition between saltwater and freshwater. They lack the characteristic beak and streamlined head of most dolphins, instead of having a blunt snout and a high, rounded forehead.
