@julietcuthbert If the politicians have so much love for the country, and this is the sum of your representation since independence, I wouldn’t want to see what is done to a country that you hate. Incompetent and egotistical are the best words to describe what we call political representatives
@julietcuthbert lol that’s your why? Because you can point a gentleman in the right direction. lol. No wonder your constituency, like the rest of the country, is in shambles. Olympian turned politician, akin to a middle manager of a small company becoming the CEO of a listed company. Clueless.
Whoever paved Liguanea Ave needs to be arrested and fined for the entire amount it cost tax payers.
It’s a total mess. The sidewalks are a mess. The road is lumpy and falling apart already.
It’s disgusting that people get paid for this.
Criminals!
@NikhailW@AuntyHersh The adjective ‘luxury’ is the biggest misnomer here!!! Nothing described as such fits the bill! Absolutely, NOTHING! Not an apt/house, service or place.
@NikhailW This is what happens when government, no matter the party because they really and truly are just one team, is subservient to local and international private sector interests. Money laundering cya done.
It's the fact that it's happening worldwide, that's so telling that it is an issue with government, governance, and how the private sector is allowed to roam unchallenged.
That's why China had so many leaders whose main objective was the complete subjugation of the private sector and the rentier class. That's also a part of the reason why China is such a big threat to Western myth making; they threaten the narrative (lies) about world economics and geopolitics.
The things that happen on this planet do not happen in a vacuum, thanks to globalization. We're all in the same hand basket going to hell.
@VellusAurelius Nonsensical tweet liked by 189 people and counting. Specifically the part about speed limits, these limits have existed since 1938. They’re very random in 2026.
@KellyKatharin The same energy would never be had for our politicians who haven’t advanced the internal infrastructure of our country in 30 years. Flog them for not addressing the buy license culture that exists so idiots like this can get a license without being properly trained.
@TallsomeLee@JamaicaConstab Did anyone file a report and follow through with it. See to it that charges were pressed etc? Jamaica is a country where, the laws are very backwards and the powers that be benefits from it, so no incentive for reform.
“Luxury” but when you step out on to your 10x10ft balcony all you’re seeing is zinc roof and traffic?
Jamaica’s real estate market is trying to compete with foreign pricing which makes no sense unless they want locals to become homeless
But these are just *my* views
