Infrastructure update: The first temporary home in La Coroza is nearly finished! The concrete floors were just laid and soon the doors & bathroom will be built. This week we will also begin building 2 temporary homes for the people of Camalote who moved into La Cuchilla.

Exciting news –– Remolino is expanding! We just purchased 4.25 manzanas (about 8.5 acres) of land, where we will plant corn & grass to help grow the cattle business. This new land will also provide more job opportunities for those in the community!
Ever Hernandez, our Director of Agriculture, is leading repairs of the fences in Remolino and 20 manzanas (40 acres) of fences in La Coroza. Our team is excited to begin rebuilding the communities we serve stronger and better than ever.
Last week, our team distributed food bags to 11 families in a local community. Onan from La Coroza & Geovany from La Cuchilla –– two men from the communities we serve –– helped with this distribution, led by Daniel Mejia, our Strategic Initiatives Coordinator.
This weekend our team is hosting our second mental health seminar led by Landre Kingdon, Behavioral Health Social Worker. The seminar is based on 2 sessions where our team will first go through the process themselves ,& then secondly, be equipped to help those in our communities.
