Before influencers jump on camera trying to convince people to buy the next fragrance, maybe educate your followers on the basics too.
Body chemistry matters. Skin care habits matter. Even how often you moisturize, hydrate, or take care of your skin can completely change how a fragrance performs and projects.
A good body oil, cream, healthy skin, proper hydration, and even diet can help a fragrance wear better and settle more naturally on the skin. The same perfume will not smell or perform the exact same on everybody. You no go dey chop ogiri, akpu, and ogbono every day and expect your fragrance to perform the exact same way as somebody that takes care of their diet too 😂 jokes aside, these things matter.
People should also be encouraged to sample fragrances first and actually wear them on their skin before buying full bottles. Give the scent time to settle, develop, and interact with your skin chemistry instead of judging it from the first spray or somebody else’s opinion online.
Not every fragrance is meant for everybody, no matter how viral it gets.

@sallygwani That’s why they say perfume is so subjective. what one person loves might not be my kind of smell. I definitely shouldn’t have blind bought them. ❤️
@sallygwani For some weird reason, Bin Shaikh and I just don’t get along. Out of the 8 Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances I bought, Bin Ameer was the only one I could keep. The other 7 had to find new homes
@mowaGLINT Learnt that the hard way. 🤣 113,120 was my punishment for refreshing. And my stubborn head is still telling me to walk into their store like I might somehow get lucky. 🙈
