I'm very proud to live in India but I am ashamed of those selfish people who have no morals, who run after money only and defend terrorists, maoists & anti-India gangs and criminals!
"I didn’t pick up a girl from that garbage dump. I picked up a diamond."
This is not a movie story. A real miracle happened in the state of Assam.
Soberan, a 30-year-old man, earned his living by selling vegetables. He was not married yet.
One evening, while returning home after work, he heard the sound of a baby crying from the bushes near the road.
When he went to check, he found a new born baby girl left alone on a garbage pile. The child had been abandoned. Soberan looked around, but no one was there. The baby was innocent, cute, and beautiful. Not knowing what else to do, he took her home with him.
He decided to raise the baby himself instead of getting married. He named her Jyoti.
He worked hard every day and night to take care of her, making sure Jyoti never faced any hardship. He sent her to school and fulfilled all her needs.
Even if he went hungry, he never let her suffer. Jyoti completed a degree in Computer Science in 2013. She then began preparing for competitive exams.
She passed the Public Service Commission exam in 2014 and got a job as an Assistant Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.
Soberan cried with joy when he saw his daughter achieve something he never had the chance to do.
Jyoti now takes care of her father, but even after all her requests, he still continues to run his vegetable business.
Soberan told the media, "I didn’t pick up a girl from that garbage dump. I picked up a diamond. She is the light of my life."
Both of them are truly inspiring people.

Different parts of India are witnessing soaring temperatures and the challenges that come with it. This heat is harsh on all of us and I urge you all to take as many precautions as possible. Please stay hydrated, keep water with you when stepping out. Offer a glass of water to others. In weather like this, such kindness goes a long way.
India Didn't Change the Game. It Changed the Board.
While social media debated headlines, tariffs, personalities and political theatre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed one of the most consequential diplomatic tours of his tenure.
Many viewed it as another foreign visit.
It wasn't.
It was strategic positioning.
And strategic positioning is often invisible until its consequences become impossible to ignore.
For over a decade, India has pursued a foreign policy based on one principle: strategic autonomy. Not alignment. Not dependence. Not bloc politics.
The recent multi-nation diplomatic outreach reflected that doctrine in action.
In the Gulf, India deepened relationships with partners that are central to global energy security, logistics and investment. The objective is simple: secure energy supplies, attract capital and establish India as a stable economic hub in an increasingly unstable world.
In Europe, the conversations extended far beyond ceremonial diplomacy. Technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and defence cooperation were at the centre of discussions. Nations that once looked at India primarily as a market increasingly view India as a partner in building resilient supply chains outside excessive dependence on any single country.
The semiconductor dimension is particularly significant. The nation that masters advanced manufacturing, AI infrastructure and semiconductor ecosystems will possess immense economic and strategic leverage in the coming decades. India understands that future wars may not begin with tanks crossing borders but with disruptions in technology, supply chains and critical infrastructure.
The Nordic engagements were equally important. Green technology, maritime cooperation, energy transition and long-term investment partnerships are not glamorous topics for television debates, but they are precisely the areas that determine national competitiveness over the next thirty years.
Perhaps most strategically important is the continued momentum behind connectivity corridors linking India, the Middle East and Europe. Such initiatives have the potential to reshape trade routes, reduce logistical vulnerabilities and create alternatives to existing geopolitical frameworks.
What emerges from all these engagements is a larger pattern.
India is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
The United States sees India as a critical Indo-Pacific partner.
Europe sees India as an economic and technological partner.
The Gulf sees India as a trusted strategic and commercial partner.
Russia continues to view India as an independent power capable of maintaining balanced relations.
This is not accidental.
It is the result of sustained diplomatic investment, economic growth, military credibility and political stability.
As an Indian Infantry Veteran, I have always believed that national power is not measured only by the strength of armies. It is measured by the ability to shape outcomes without coercion, create partnerships without dependence and protect interests without surrendering sovereignty.
The strongest nations are not always the loudest.
They are the most indispensable.
India's challenge now is to convert diplomatic goodwill into manufacturing capacity, technological leadership, infrastructure growth and military strength.
If that transformation succeeds, the coming decades may well belong to a nation that refuses to be anybody's camp follower and chooses instead to be a pole of power in its own right.
That is not a slogan.
That is strategy.
Jai Hind.

More people should know what Prof. Vasi has done for semiconductor research in India.
He was the first semiconductor device researcher at IIT Bombay, built the nanofab here from the ground-up including a successful 3 micron NMOS process in the 1980s!
@oppollo11 Is there any formula to calculate proper scaling?. Some assets are trading at 5 digits, some in thousands, some in hundreds..how can we derive the correct price unit for a time unit. Thanks 🙏🙏
