Today the EU Migration Pact came into force. What does that mean?
Relocation quotas
Illegal migrants already in the EU can be relocated across the EU according to quotas set by the EU bureaucracy in Brussels. If a country refuses to take in a migrant, it has to pay a 20,000 euro fine for every migrant it refuses. Countries may also choose to take part in burden sharing by providing other assistance. In reality, this is a pull factor for more migrants to leave for Europe.
Open borders
New illegal migrants arriving to the external borders of the EU must be let in so they can submit their asylum requests. EU countries must house, feed and care for them until their application is processed and a decision is made. If it is rejected, returns are almost impossible. The success rate of rejected migrants have been below 20% in the last years according the Frontex data.
The EU already tried a migrant relocation scheme back in 2015. If failed miserably. Yet, 10 years later we try again. Insane. EU citizens want their leaders to stop illegal entry and return the people who are in the EU illegally.
Hungarians voted at a referendum in 2016 and overwhelmingly rejected the migrant quota system. With the leadership of PM Orbán, Hungary upheld a zero tolerance policy towards illegal immigration and we built a fence on our southern border. We refused to give in despite the legal and financial blackmail by the European Commission. We were fined 200 million euros and an additional 1 million euros per day because we do not allow illegals into Hungary.
Hungary is today one of the safest countries in Europe and Europeans are rising up against mass immigration. There is also a petition you can sign to make your voice heard 👇👇👇
For years, Brussels told Europeans not to worry about migration. Then they told us not to believe our own eyes. Now they’re telling us that opposing mass migration is racist and un-European.
Thanks to @EvaVlaar Europeans have a chance to say NO! The @SaveEuropeAct aims to remind Brussels that Europe is not a waiting room for the world. It is our home.

Ursula von der Leyen now says the rule of law has been restored in Hungary, and EU funds can therefore be released.
Simple questions:
What exactly changed?
What major rule-of-law reforms have been adopted?
What democratic standards have suddenly been met?
The new government's most significant constitutional initiative so far has been to limit the possibility of Viktor Orbán returning to office if Hungarian voters choose him again.
If that is what Brussels considers proof that democracy has been strengthened, then it raises serious questions about the standards being applied.
