i get frustrated that despite a year of progress i still have setbacks. but my setbacks aren't anywhere near catastrophic now as they would've been six months ago *because* of the progress i've made

yeah because when you learn to cope with these issues, you can mitigate their harm. what would've at one point been a meltdown can become a mild inconvenience. it sucks but this isn't a great mindset to have in the long run
