Before #FIFA start pumping the propaganda tonight and telling us all how amazing this #WorldCup has been, let’s remember they oversaw:

- highest ticket prices ever and took a cut from resale sites.

- did nothing about Somalian referee and dozens of staff who were banned from entering the US for no legitimate reason.

- stood by as Iran were forced to train outside the US and travel in on match days.

- overturned red cards after phone calls with the president.

- Americanised the beautiful game with hydration (TV) breaks and 25 mins half time in the final

- guided Argentina through the tournament with less travel, VAR support and blatantly turning a blind due to their aggression and foul play.

@Karl_Lauterbach Die taktische Disziplin & Einheit Spaniens waren sympathisch & hoch effizient, ja. Aber attraktiv in meinen Augen eher nicht, wenn man vor allem über Ballbesitz das Spiel kontrolliert und kaum Ballstaffetten & kreativen Lösungen Raum gibt. Das ist für mich kein schöner Fußball.

@ManuThiele Stimme dir in vielem zu. Aber mir hat die WM vor allem in den Gruppenspiele erstaunlich viel Spaß gemacht, weil vermeintliche Underdogs durch disziplinierte Taktik dagegen halten konnten. Und insofern Spanien sinnbildlich für diese WM genau mit Disziplin & Einheit gewonnen hat.

@ManuThiele War ne klare gelb-rote Karte für Parades! Aber finde der Schiri hat in dem Moment trotzdem richtig entschieden fürs Spiel. Die rote Karte hätte das Spiel komplett eskaliert & die Gemüter zu sehr erhitzt. Argentinien ist leider auch kein guter Verlierer...

Disziplin gewinnt die #wm2026, nicht unbedingt schöner Fußball, sorry... #ESPARG Ja, eine starke Defensive macht den Unterschied aus, zurecht.

Das Spiel um Platz 3 war trotzdem erwartbar das klar schönere kleine Finale für Fußballfans.
