A brand new Roblox FPS inspired by Ready or Not had 4 million players in its first day of launch
Players have praised TTK Testing's "crazy" graphics and satisfying gunplay
I am so grateful for our community - it's players, past present and future.
This world means so much to us... and to me personally. I sincerely hope that 10 years from now, we're celebrating another decade together.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
The game launched a few years later, on May 24, 2016. Players worldwide jumped into the game... and they still do!
So much credit belongs to all of the people that have worked on and still work on this amazing project. They are the real heart and soul of this game.
Overwatch is a game about its heroes. This lineup image was from the 2013 pitch deck to executives and was credited as the moment where the room transformed from doubtful to excited about what this game could be.
We also worked on ideas for maps, many of them inspired by locations we talked about for Titan. I've always wanted to make that Galapagos map. The idea behind it was crazy!
We worked a lot on combat feel, studying other games and working through problems in engine and through concepts. This was a piece on how low health and getting hit would look like in game...
We quickly got to work, figuring out key issues for the new project like character and environment scale. These images were generated in the Titan engine, since we were still working on a new engine and editor for Overwatch...
This first image isn't from OW! It's a concept for a game the team was exploring just after the cancellation of Project Titan in 2013. That game never materialized. It was a totally different setting, but as you can see in this image, a few ideas from that game moved into OW.
Happy 10 year anniversary, Overwatch!
While the game launched 10 years ago, Team 4 started working on it in mid-2013. I'd like to take you all through some of that original journey that the team took to launch the game.
