I am so incredibly happy for Knicks fans.
1994 was one of the most gut-wrenching Finals losses in NBA history.
Not getting back again until 1999, when Ewing had a torn Achilles and they were close to drawing dead to the Duncan-Robinson Spurs was a different type of cruelty.
And somehow never truly coming close in any season since then should have just been unfathomable. Instead, it was entirely predictable and at various times they were a national punch line.
To turn this season around from what it seemed like it was going to be (another promising but inevitably disappointing season), into what it became (the single most dominant month of playoff basketball from a margin of victory standpoint in the history of the NBA), is truly remarkable.
I am picking the Knicks in the Finals but more importantly Iβll be rooting for the Knicks in the Finals.
The NYC hoops fans deserve this moment.
There are bad losses.
There are awful losses.
There are catastrophic losses.
Then thereβs what just happened to the Cavs.
They went from stealing home court to truly drawing absolutely dead in this series.
The Knicks could be -1000 for the series & it wouldnβt be enough.
Wemby was decidedly NOT out of gas.
What an absolutely brilliant performance in the game of the playoffs.
We wondered if heβd mimic Dream vs Admiral after Robinson won the β95 MVPβ¦ and he absolutely did.
Wemby has obviously been absolutely sensational, and he just hit a 28 footer to tie it⦠WITH THAT SAID, OKC should take this shotclock down to the last possible second.
If you make it, great. If you miss, itβs Double OT & Wemby is running on absolute fumes.
Breaking: Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has won his second consecutive NBA Most Valuable Player award, becoming the 14th player in league history to win back-to-back MVPs, multiple sources tell ESPN.
Sources: The #Bills at #Broncos playoff rematch will take place on Christmas in Week 16.
Buffalo lost that game, ending its season, while Denver won but lost Bo Nix to an ankle injury. ππ
