I'm building Reflact — an iOS app for the gap between who you are and who you want to be.
Not a habit tracker. A system that connects self-reflection to daily action.

As my app gets closer to completion, I’m realizing how grateful I am to have people watching and supporting the journey.
I have just one question:
Are you using iOS or Android?
I started a Substack 7 days ago.

Still, I wrote about something I’m learning while building Reflact:
Consistency is not doing the same thing forever.
It’s continuing to act while changing what needs to change.
A small flame, but still alive.

What if you are simply playing a game where your effort turns into resistance?
I wrote about this here.

Totally agree. The romanticized version skips the hardest part: the long stretch where nothing seems to be happening.
That lonely, messy middle is probably where the real work is.
The Dancing Guy framing is useful but I think most people miss the part where he looked ridiculous for a while and nothing happened. Movement stuff gets romanticized. Real version is messier, longer, and most of the time you're just dancing alone wondering if anyone notices. That's the part worth writing about.
@QuietFSoftware Totally. The fear of looking silly is often bigger than the actual risk.
But once you take the first step, you realize most people are too busy worrying about themselves to judge you that much.
Also, I saw you’re learning Japanese — that’s awesome. Cheering you on!
A movement doesn’t start with a crowd.
It starts with one person willing to look ridiculous before anyone follows.
I wrote about the Dancing Guy, first followers, and why we need to stop watching and start moving.

Give me 5 minutes. Trust me on this.
It might shift how you see things.
We need to create a movement.
let’s be more passionate. about this world.
About everything in it!!

fastest human I/O?
output: speaking.
input: reading.
both still way slower than thinking.
what’s your fastest way to absorb info?
…all of this only holds while we’re stuck with five senses though.

@JacobSobolev that’s the right question to ask.
but maybe the real shift happens before the data — in the moment you stop and face yourself.
for Reflact, what matters is: did you reflect? did you act? the record of showing up is the feature.
perfect data doesn’t change behavior. presence does.
kids, pets, life changes — suddenly your day isn’t yours anymore. routines break. self-reflection becomes a luxury.
this won’t change Reflact’s design directly. but I want to build knowing those users exist too.
