almost constantly in motion. πββοΈπββοΈπ²πβ°πΊπ i get excited about minor things, and will ALWAYS air guitar to don't stop believin'.
Absolutely dying at @IttyBrittyRun screaming "C'MON BUDDY!!" at Kipchoge on Heartbreak Hill πππ Apparently everyone was very hushed at the fact that he was not in first and I adore that this is what she chose to yell
@FueledbyLOLZ I'm sooo sad about this - the Pro did not work for me but I LOVE the speed 2. It seems like brands aren't interested in creating a fast shoe for people who don't respond well to the carbon plate. Looks like I need to hunt down some more 2s before they disappear βΉοΈ
Seeing someone reading a book I love on public transit always makes me smile. Shoutout to the woman reading The Stone Sky by NK Jemisen on the bus this morning (you clearly enjoyed the series since you're on book 3) ππ€
I've followed up every long run over the past 6 weeks with either a rehearsal of my own or watching the dancers I teach compete and I am laughing at my 22 yo self who thought she had to choose between running or dance because "adults don't have time for that many hobbies" π
@FueledbyLOLZ @RogerMisso I'm so bummed about the changes to the Speed I've been hearing about. The Pro was a no go for me - think the plate was too stiff for my taste - but the Speed 1 and 2 have been my dream marathon shoe. Sad that they seem to have downgraded it to more of a trainer βΉοΈ
@losingrace Also in this area is a wonderful Irish pub called The Dead Rabbit...a friend and I picked it as our meeting spot after the NYC half (figured we wouldn't forget the name π ) and I love it so much I make a point to go every time in NY. It's great for a relaxed solo drink!
It's almost fitting that on my final forced public transit commute the bus I take shows up 20+ minutes late and makes me late for work π€¦ββοΈ Not thrilled about some aspects of owning a car, but can't WAIT to never have to suffer the #MBTA on a rainy day again
Me: "UGH, my body feels like trash, I swear when I turned 35 everything went to shit"
Also me: runs 18 miles and then goes to a 3 hour dance rehearsal including things like diving into a forward roll
Yes, I'm sure it's aging that's the problem π
If anyone is ever trying to get into the @nycmarathon via a non NYRR auto qual...I logged on 4 minutes after reg opened, waited in queue for 2 HOURS, and just found out that I didnt make the "first come first serve" cutoff.. Total bummer as I know lottery odds are basically 0 π
