The same traders who said Gen Z protests were “killing business” are in Nairobi CBD today, shutting shops.
KRA hiked the customs floor on a shared 40ft container from Sh2.5M to Sh3.2M. That’s Sh700,000 extra. 28% overnight.
A container that used to sell in a week is now sitting for six months because Kenyans have no money. Food is up 9%, transport is up 15.6%, and Ruto’s government found another way to tax you without calling it a tax.
They wanted order when the youth were in the streets. Order arrived. The bill arrived with it.
Nobody is immune. Not Gen Z. Not Gikomba. Not you.
¹As they passed through Yemen, they arrived at a place called Al Sulbisha. Babu beseeched Sifuna saying, "let us pray briefly before we proceed, you know I sinneth and you too". ²In Hebrew Babu: 'Nyasaye uku ni vumbi lakini shuka na usitumane ututangulie tusikule sida." Sifuna: "riswa! sandi Yesu utatenda khandi amen." ³As they prayed to Nyasaye at the feet of Jesus, things changed. ³Miles away, the dreaded Elpolis arrived and instead of shooting at motorcades as expected by Lindaleans, they shot teargas cannisters at Goonistines chasing the Goonistines away. ⁴A Goonistine cried. ⁶Another Goonistine who saw the things that transpired requested for a Alpikpik taxi and tearfully asked to be rushed home, saying in Hebrew "nikimbise nyumban polis leo wameokoka nasangaa sana sembuse". ⁷And so news swept across the land, that Lindaleans had crossed Yemen's notorius Homagaza dessert and were aproaching Homabay. ⁸A Lindalean vehicle stopped briefly and collected a hurt elite guard of the Elpolis whom they moved to a place of help. For Lindaleans were kind-hearted wantamist political people. ⁹And so it came to pass, that prophet Orengo's prophecy was fullfilled. Lindaleans indeed arrived in Homabay. ¹⁰ A logistics company known as 'Kafirwa El Mkund and Sons' owned by a local tribal chief that had supplied Wanganjanized stones and sodas was thus defeated. ¹¹ For it is written "He will sermon his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways". ¹² And so Lindaleans thronged the city of Homabay and made merry as they wantammed each other with high fives for year five, a harvest year. Babu and Sifuna thus baptized many tutamists who became wantamist Lindaleans. ¹³The memes that emerged on that day had never been witnessed across the land. ¹⁴For that famous season of memes had arrived with a thud and even angels did not know whether to first go where the Lord had sent them or to first scroll through the memes as they laughed. ¹⁵As Lindaleans crossed Homagaza dessert routes back to their roots, Lindaleans debated whether marginalisation or funds embezzlement had resulted in the Yemeni dust that covered their Yemenized faces. ¹⁶As Babu and Sifuna were leaving Homagaza dessert, they arrived at a place baptized Jerusalema and a sad limping Goonistine saw them. He sat down and cried out loudly to them saying in Hebrew "Wajameni nimeona hiyo Mungu yenu kitu amefanyia nyinyi wajameni niachieni kakitu yaani kamchele Nyasaye yaani siamini." ¹⁷Sifuna then spoke as both he and Babu laid their hands on the Goonistine saying "silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth stand up and walk". Babu reached out to his pocket and transfigured the man. ¹⁸The man stood, his limping disappeared, and he has since been heard shouting wantam across the villages of Homabay. ¹⁹ Babu, Sifuna, prophet Orengo and all Lindaleans left without goodbyes for they shall return despite Kafirwa Al Mkund and Sons. ²⁰The spirit of Jakom, Baba, was amongst Lindaleans. ⚖️
