A huge thanks to Dave Brodie of Brodie Tree Farm for donating two beautiful big trees this morning. The Blue Spruce and Weeping Nootka Cypress are feeling right at home in our front yard.

The team at Austin's Appliance & Sleep Centre recently donated a new dishwasher for Huron Hospice Bender House. We want to thank Deb Austin (in the photo), her husband, Bob, and the rest of the team - Annie Clements, Joe Fritzley and Ann Schoemaker.

Despite some snow challenges in the past week or so, progress continues with our expansion. The roof is near ready for shingles.

A big thank you to Greyhaven Gardens of Londesborough for delivering beautiful Christmas décor for our entrances. So very much appreciated.

This is the fifth concert in as many years in support of our work and we are deeply grateful to Reverend JoAnn Todd and the congregation at Trinity Anglican in Blyth. Over $2,000 was raised in support of the expansion of the residence.

We're ready to begin. The work area is enclosed. Construction begins on Monday. We expect the expansion to six beds to be completed by next summer so that we can support more individuals and families. Thanks to all who have supported this important campaign.

Next week Wednesday we will recognize board, staff and volunteers for exceptional service. We will also celebrate our service to the community of Huron County over the past year. All in the community are welcome. Please reply by Friday as directed on the flyer.

A great big thank you to Jennifer Sinclair of In Your Gardens, Goderich and LawnMaster Landscaping of Seaforth for a wonderful donation of perennial pollinator plants.
These plants will enhance the flowerbeds around the residence by adding more diversity and colour.

Another area which has seen restoration. Thank you to some community members who donated sedum for this project. Special thanks to Huron Ridge greenhouses for donating perennials last fall, which were all planted in the waterfall area.

Why would we post a photo of a garage you might ask. Because Bayfield Garage owner Don Mcilwain has donated $500 in gas this summer to fuel the lawnmower that cuts several acres of grass at Huron Hospice Bender House each week. Don, you are awesome. Thank you.
