You give them the guns and monies they demand, they release our loved ones, but the militants become stronger in the process and end up kidnapping more people next week.
Rinse and repeat.
From the looks of it, kidnappings in Nigeria are now based on two different types of incentives:
1. The terrorism-motivated kidnappings by Jihadist militias
2. The petty crime-motivated kidnappings by local criminals in different regions of the country
While it’s hard to say [especially if it’s one’s relatives/loved ones that’s kidnapped], I am ideologically opposed to the idea of paying ransoms to these Jihadist militias.
In many ways, it’s the equivalent of feeding a bear that will come back to devour you.
Contrary to my initial thoughts/comments, it seems that there was indeed a rescue and I’m glad to see these hostages rescued.
I hope the Nigerian government is able to commit the same efforts and resources to rescuing the kidnapped teachers and children in Ogbomosho.

1. Renovation of their house facilities
2. Provision of some motorcycles
3. Release of some of their members etc…”

You know how people ask for restaurant recommendations? Yeah. I need but for hospitals. Preferably VI/Lekki.
Not Lagoon, Evercare or Reddington more budget friendly and accepts HMOs.
