@bybrandy@jk_rowling If a old, tall, skinny, white, man says he is a young, short, fat, black, woman four of those claims will be seen as mental illness. Why is the last one different?

@astro_jason @jk_rowling Most people support some form of trans rights however the devil is in the details. For example, most people (men and women) do not support trans in woman's sports.

@CodeOfPets@laverne_palm@RepJeffries Up close spread from a shotgun is minimal. It also has way more kick than an AR15 making followup shot more difficult. That said a shotgun is a fine self defense weapon having advantages/disadvantages over an AR15.
@jstillings1@NorahODonnell@stevebartin@GavinNewsom@CBSEveningNews SCOTUS did not upheld gun restrictions, they simply refused to rule on 2nd amendment cases. The closest they came was Miller in which they said the goverment could ban sawed off shotguns because they were NOT used by the military. Note: no defense showed up for the Miller case.
@wcbuecker@BryanDGriffin@GovRonDeSantis If teachers unions are so wonderful they should have no problem getting teachers to pay dues. If unions fail it's because the teachers don't support them and should be glad they are no longer forced to pay for them. Either way why would they leave?
@mellis999@RepJeffries District of Columbia v. Heller
Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects an individual's right to keep and bear arms, unconnected with service in a militia
@NotSoProudYank @ConservativeMik@NorahODonnell@GavinNewsom@CBSEveningNews You are also wrong that all we had was the militia. The Army & Nave were founded 1775. The militia and the military always existed and were always separate.
@NotSoProudYank @ConservativeMik@NorahODonnell@GavinNewsom@CBSEveningNews It doesn't matter if you think we need that right, it is enshrined in the constitution. If you want to take the right away you must first amend the constitution. Or do you think government should just ignore laws it doesn't like.
@NotSoProudYank @sylvanrodriguez@NorahODonnell@GavinNewsom@CBSEveningNews The military has always existed and was always separate from the militia. Army & Navy founded 1775. If they meant the military they would have said the military.
