HMRC talk about being a trusted tax authority however recent emails show that couldn’t be further from the truth
There’s an ‘elephant in the room & to address it would contradict previously provided responses’ #loancharge#TaxTwitter@gregwrightYP@LiamThorpECHO@keithmgordon
@srimalathi5@HMRCgovuk Makes me so angry hearing this... I wonder what the judge would have done if you were a no show. The judge should have said they have forfeit the case, I thought that's what normally happens.
Who controls the Chancellor's personal fortune and is it held offshore? The public doesn't know as it is held in a secret blind trust https://t.co/eqBSIr86Rn
Wondering if all us #loancharge victims club together, say put in £1 a week.. we could donate circa 200k to the Tories a month (more than #Dougbarrowman) we could then get a big government contract and pay the #LoanCharge for all?
Although the taxpayer lost (I believe for reasons susceptible to an appeal), the Tribunal accepted the general proposition that the PAYE credit is generally available to employees and not capable of retrospective removal in the way that HMRC have argued (and won in Higgs & Hoey).
@loanchargeAPPG@BBCRadio4@CMonaghanSNP@hmtreasury Along side this @loanchargeAPPG. Please watch for part 2 and 3 of this saga. HMRC charging IHT on these loans even though now being taxed as earnings... and trusts that provided loans trying to recall them in full.
Tonight at 8pm an important #Fileon4 documentary that’s is looking at the #LoanChargeScandal & the ongoing mis-selling of ‘disguised remuneration’ schemes, which the #LoanCharge has failed to stop. Listen live at 8pm or following the broadcast.

@RedHawkWinter@Jesse_Norman@keithmgordon He has lied so many times Red Moll he is struggling to keep up with the all. @Jesse_Norman when I you going to realise that if you tell the truth it is very easy to defend something. If you lie then it all unravels like a ball of yarn. This is lesson101 of a kids upbringing.
@Jesse_Norman@keithmgordon Also @Jesse_Norman we acted within the law at the time but you needed a new law and back dated it. So why not the same for promoters? Please do not think we are going away. This will haunt you for the rest of your life the same way we will be paying for it for the rest of ours.
@Jesse_Norman@keithmgordon Jesse, can you just condemn me also... so I dont have to pay the loan charge? How about you pursue them the same way that HMRC has pursued us. #LoanCharge
@loanchargeAPPG seeing as you guys are being ignored by the people in charge as much as we are... how about you get the law changed for us victims so we can challenge #loancharge in court?
@wealthagent@HMRobbinCs@JNHanvey So if I dont get the loans released? Does that mean no IHT. Just wondering as it only becomes chargable upon loan release (imho).
@wealthagent@HMRobbinCs@JNHanvey Am I correct in thinking Gordon that IHT is payable only on EBT schemes, and the IHT is charged at 1% of the total loan since its inception... so if you had an EBT from 2010 its 1% for 10 years? Lovely!
I would urge anyone who is not already under ArmadilloSupport to seriously consider doing so. There is no silver bullet, but sound advice is being offered to those who find they are currently getting nowhere with HMRC.

@PhilPlate 2. Is for around £20 a month I have on tap advice when I need it. It is not always what I want to hear but it is solid. My next battle now will be IHT when HMRC come asking for that. My TTP is affordable, but then depending how much IHT comes to I could be fooked.
