@QuirkyGrrrl@jimstewartson Surely the question should be how have we allowed people who are thick as shit to be in power. This fella can barely string a coherent sentence together, never seen him say anything that makes you think “this guy is super bright”
Honestly, fair play to Rishi Sunak. The flair and determination required to lose by a landslide when your party’s key demographic is cunts and the election is in Britain.
The problem with current labour plans and the NHS. Please read.
Labour say they will use the private sector to reduce NHS waiting times (which sounds very sensible) - unless you know what is actually going on.
There is NO spare capacity in the private sector.
@976monkey@StanCollymore Any interval training is good. Depends how your knee would hold up to running though. Otherwise, intervals on bike or rower starting at 20 min sessions 3-4 times a week and build from there
@976monkey@StanCollymore It’s 4x 15 min segments broken down into: 1st 15 mins is 1min at 6.5 then 1 min at 16 alternating for 15 mins. 2nd 15 min - 1min at 6.5 then 1min at 17 for 15 mins etc. it’s serious fitness, fair play to him
Intervals.
Can't stress enough how much intervals in particular drive change in the brain and for those with MH issues it can be an incredibly effective tool in your box when it comes to combating depression, anxiety and more.
My posts running are at a decent clip, but the point is that in November even doing a walk left me physically and mentally empty. So you can see the progress, no gimmicks, no tricks, just showing up outdoors, on a bike, treadmill will guarantee to change things for you for the better.
I watch a really good Instagram post about intervals showing beginners. They did 1 min run ( or bike or walk up a good hill or row, whatever gets you breathing heavily) and a SEVEN min walk, then repeated that 3 or 4 times, 3 or 4 times a week. So if you're carrying timber or haven't exercised the 1 min ( or 30 seconds) doesn't change but the rest can according to your fitness. That means everyone reading this can do a minute then have 1 to 7 minutes walking before going again. A super way to start, similar to what I did in November.
This isn't about having a pro footballer or ex footballer or influence who spends 24/7 in the gym, this is about YOU taking steps to start something, anything and deciding that's better than starting on the 1st of never.
My mental health is significantly better and more robust simply by exercising with a purpose, cutting out the shit that we all are bombarded with ( sweets, chocolate, alcohol) and trusting yourself that by going through a HARD 2 or 3 weeks ( as opposed to hard 2 or 3 years being mentally poorly or physically poorly) you can break the cycle of poor mental health and for many reading this, being overweight and not knowing where to start.
Try! What have you got to lose? Weight? Poor mental health? Low self esteem? All of these things are proven to get better with exercise.
Forget motivation and going twice on a high then not going again. If I went every time I was motivated I'd go once every pancake day! Just get up, get out the door and do it for yourself, and only you.
Many of you inspire me every day with your own stories l, videos and refusal to give into adversity, so thank you, it helps a lot. So likewise I'm here for you to help and hopefully point one or two to cast iron ways to get to better physical and mental health.
Come on!
Stan ❤️
"But now, here's Match of the Day, with Matt Le Tissier telling us the reason Southampton lost was because vaccines are turning them gay, and Peter Shilton telling us the reason he got outjumped by a dwarf on cocaine was a globalist conspiracy"
@petelad_lfc2021 @LFC@officialbarnesy The best player I’ve seen in the flesh. Absolutely majestic in late 80’s and early 90’s. As a kid then, he did things that you hadn’t seen previously, he was magnificent. He’s “the” one player I’d love to see in this Klopp era.
@babuyagu 100%. I was at the benfica game last season and he was outrageous. He chipped Alisson twice and no one does that! Once we click and sort the midfield, he’ll be unreal.
@petelad_lfc2021 The basis of the side is still excellent, defence and forwards are fine, but the midfield is horrible at the moment. Out of form players will get better but we have to sign midfielders that suit the rest of the team not trying to change the system coz it’s creating more problems
@petelad_lfc2021 Absolutely mate. Thing is, they work better in a 4-2-3-1 but that doesn’t suit Salah, Jota, Diaz or Nunez. The “2” suits Thiago, Fabinho, Keita but not Henderson and Milner. 4-3-3 suits the forwards and Trent but none of the midfield at the moment. It’s a mess.
@petelad_lfc2021 I don’t think they’re bad owners as such. They’ve done a lot of good stuff but increasing the brand value is standard for competent sports owners, certainly not genius business acumen. We were comically run prior to their arrival
It's a statement of the obvious but all this should be the end of the Conservative and Unionist Party for 30 years. But it won't be.
If this was under a Labour Government there would be hell to pay for generations from the press.
Tories playing politics on easy mode ruins lives
